Host was extremely kind and friendly and campground and accommodations are well-kept. We stayed two nights and enjoyed walking along the river, the game room and swing set in the late afternoons after we finished our longer hikes for the day. Beautiful area albeit a bit windy so make sure your tent is super secure.

Awfully rude manager, nice property
The property is beautiful. Unfortunately, the manager, Nicole, was very unwelcoming upon arrival. Upon arriving at 9pm, we headed directly to our tent site as it was unclear that we had to check in (considering it was a tent site and self service) and assumed no one would be working at 9pm. Then, Nicole comes racing down the hill to berate and my partner, as she ~never~ rents out the spot we rented, said we were trespassing, and said “You hipcampers are awful. You’re all horrible.” Wow. NOT half the warm welcome you’d want. First, why have this spot for rent online in the first place if you ~never~ let people rent it? Second, Nicole’s condescending tone and belittlement of my partner made her cry. The next morning, she was condescending again and doubled down on her behavior. “I’m not usually mean but I am when I have to be!” To that I ask, why? Why do you HAVE to be disgustingly rude to your paying customers over a misunderstanding and miscommunication to the point that you make someone cry? I was really disappointed with this treatment and hope that my review sparks some change in how Nicole treats her guests. Very disappointed and will never stay here again.

Stop over
Nice open space and warm showers. I wasn’t there long but it was clean and quiet.

Communication was mixed. I received information about our stay leading up but it referred as if I had a motel reservation when I had booked a tent. I had messaged asking if a motel room was available and got no response. I ended up cancelling due to the heat and a sick kid.
