Loved camping here!!
My husband and I planned on staying at Kolob Gate Gardens for only a couple of nights, but ended up staying all six nights of our trip to Utah because we liked it so much! Site 4 had lots of shade which helped with the hot days. We were able to cook everyday on the stove that was available, and it was so nice to have pots and pans there! Nicole was so responsive and Steve who was there on site was really attentive and went out of his way to make sure our stay was comfortable. The photos here don't do it justice...the river is so lovely and the sites are well spaced out and give much more privacy than if you were in a campsite in the park. The portapotty was super clean and the shower felt great on a hot day. A nice bio degradable soap was provided and it even has a little skylight so you can see the sky. I've read other reviews here, and yes, the space could use improvements but its a work in progress and I think if you're looking for a quiet place to camp that is convenient and has all the basic amenities you need for camping (not glamping haha), this is it!! We loved it!

I loved camping at the site. It was well shaded and thanks to the location in the valley, the sun did not reach the tent till about 8:20, there was a gentle breeze at night so I had a great sleep and rest despite occasional truck rambling along the road nearby. There are wind chimes and lights at night that make the stay at night especially charming. Despite the location next to the creek, there was not much water remaining in the beginning of August, more like a giant puddle with a bunch of crawfish.
Most importantly, there is a shower with cool water and potty toilets were clean, so though this camping is somewhat spartan, it's pretty comfortable nevertheless.
I would definitely camp here again, but maybe choose September or May, when, hopefully, the days are less hot. It was reaching 40C or 100+ Fahrenheit at around 15:00, so you want to seek shelter from blazing heat somewhere in Zion during the day, which is only a hand reach away.
The host was friendly and responsive via the app messaging.

Nice spot with a great view, directions were clear and the place was easy to find. Porta John was very convenient. Owner's dogs barked from across the rive after we arrived but quieted down after about 5 minutes and were no issue.
