The perfect way to escape the heat of summer, and the crowds of Zion National Park. Kolob Campground, Kolob Terrace Road, and Kolob Reservoir is a quiet location nestled between the main canyons of Zion National Park and the remote Kolob Finger Canyons Complex at Zion National Park. With quick access to West Rim Trail, Subway Canyon, Hop Valley Trail, and Wildcat Canyon Trail, this area of Greater Zion is not to be missed.   Located in a private gated area on the shores of Kolob Reservoir, Kolob Campground is the premiere location for camping on Kolob Mountain in the Greater Zion National Park area.  Kolob Campground is located adjacent to the Kolob Reservoir boat ramp and dock, including four acres of private shoreline. Just a few feet from the paved road, nestled in tall aspen, oak, and pine trees.  Access to potable water is available adjacent to camp, and public restrooms (vault toilets) are only a short walk from camp. WiFi access is available nearby at Kolob Adventure Rentals/Adventure Beach (3 minute walk). WiFi location and password provided by host upon request. This is an exclusive benefit available to our guests, and the only WiFi available to campers in the area. Canoe, kayak and SUP rentals, snacks and beverages are also located nearby.  LP(propane) fires are allowed and LP fire bowls can be provided through the camp host. LP fuel is also available for purchase. Wood burning, charcoal, and smoking currently not allowed due to area restriction.

The site was clean and ready for us. It was a bit hard to find in the dark but was very obvious once we checked the instructions again. The location is absolutely gorgeous, a lovely long drive through the back section of Zion and through a variety of forests during fall was exactly what we want. Check out the various trails nearby, we loved Lava Point and Wildcat. Camping on the water is always a delight, even late in the season. Definitely would recommend.

The site is probably lovely in nicer months, but when we arrived the campsite was very muddy since the winter is setting in and snow was on the ground. While I am sure it is a great place to stay in the spring, it was completely desolate when we arrived for our October dates. I tried to contact the owner from the site to figure something out but the wifi was not working and we left to find a dry campsite. I emailed the owner once I had a connection and did not hear back.

Campsite said it had wifi and water but when we got there, neither were available. Also, I reached out to the camphost regarding these issues and have yet to hear a response. Not impressed with the communication.

Tab 320 outing!!
First trip with our Tab 320. Overlooking Kolob Lake. About 45 minutes from Zion National Park. Secluded! Only downside was no Camp Host on site to rent the propane fire pit. Luckily, we asked a couple leaving if we could take their propane and pit! They did and we had the propane fire.

Beautiful campsite on the Reservoir

Beautiful campsite! WiFi was not available when we were there (mid-October) -had been turned off the weekend before. Portapotties were clean. Fire ring was perfect - highly recommend renting one.

No camp host onsite. Campsite Internet wasn’t available for entirety of stay with no other way to contact host since Verizon has no service. Host came through camp 1-2 times per day and was very friendly and accommodating. 750ft to restrooms and water was 850ft from campsite. Site was full of broken glass and did not seem well maintained. Campsites are VERY close to each other. Picnic table is a plastic table with no chairs. Really wish I could give this a better rating since the host was so nice. For the price I probably would stay elsewhere in the future.
