Near Capitol Reef National Park
Within a 30-minute drive from the Capitol Reef Visitor Center.
Almost 5 acres with vintage small cabin, art studio, old stable and a few vintage travel trailers. Property has what seems like many miles of irrigation waterlines, that we have used to create outdoor sweet spaces. Originally rented cabin on a nightly rental site, but wanted to live in our own home.. as this was truly our one and only home that we rented. Love vintage and all kinds of trailers so created 2 sites in the way back of the property with lots of trees for privacy and it's own driveway and entrance. Located in the quaint gateway town of Torrey, Utah.. with views of the Boulder Mountains. Capitol Reef National Park is just a few miles down the road. Fremont River is just a few blocks away along with so many great hikes you can take within walking or biking from the cabin. Amazing place where it can be raining and the sun shining. We do have two mostly outdoor cats. They were abandoned and migrated to the property. One is a sweet big black kitty and the other is a gray striped kitty. Both have been spade and neutered. We volunteer at our local animal shelter and have to resist bringing them all home. We also seem to be host to a herd of sometimes 16 deer. They consider our property their safe haven. High Desert elevation at 7000 feet where you can have cactus growing next to pine trees. Most folks come to Torrey as it is the gateway community to one of our best national Parks.. Capitol Reef.. which encompasses many amazing hikes and also the historic old town of Fruita. The orchards are still being maintained and available to the public. The Scenic Byway 12 is truly the best auto trip and spans more than 124 miles of the most diverse and ruggedly beautiful landscapes in the country. Fishlake National Forest is just a mile from our property and it has many miles of trails for hiking and off road vehicles. The town of Torrey now has several great restaurants and our wonderful old Chuckwagon store. All within an easy mile or two of High Desert Solitude. Just a few things to check out or google, Capitol Reef National Park, Grand-Staircase-Escalante national monument, Burr Trail, Hell's Backbone, Fremont River, Fish Lake, Henry Mountains, Robber's Roost, Goblin Valley, Great Western Trail, Anasazi village state park and so much more.

High Desert Solitude - Nice Site
Had a very nice stay at High Desert Solitude. Very nice quiet spot with plenty of room. It was easy pulling in and backing into the spot. There was lots of shade and even a little deck surrounded by wild flowers. The pictures and info about the site is accurate. The host was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The Great Western Trail is just down the street. There were two good restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend this site.
