Best camping experience and host!
Tent · With kids
Randy was incredible and the land he shares with campers is beautiful! We stayed 4 nights camping - there were four level pads topped with fine gravel that he made for tents, there was a home made and beautiful table next to the fire pit for the kitchen area, there were two fire pit areas, and the bathroom…. was the best pit toilet that I have ever seen. He built shelves inside the bathroom with Lysol, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, another fragrance diffuser, and the set up was just pleasant which made a huge difference for my wife. Randy was super attentive to any the needs we had and works very hard to ensure a comfortable stay for his guests!

Amazing site with great host
Tent
This was probably the best campsite I’ve ever stayed at. We actually had a family of deer pass through camp both mornings. Beyond that, the site is super convenient, less than an hour from Zion, Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, and many other beautiful features of southern Utah. Randy was an awesome host, super attentive. The “modest amount of firewood” was more than enough for 2 nights, especially considering we had a couple decent sized campfires that we started pretty early, and he even provided fire starter (in Randy’s words- “no judgement” if you used the lighter fluid). For the price, the amenities are amazing as is the size of the campsite. Plenty of drinking water and an outhouse that was cleaner than the bathrooms at any Forest Service campsites I’ve ever stayed at. You could hear a bit of road noise from the highway, but that tapered off around 9PM. Cars on the dirt road adjacent the campsite are rare, we saw maybe 4 or 5 per day and the actual tent pad is far enough back that you won’t get any dust. You may want a high clearance vehicle if you want to get close to where your tents would be but any SUV or crossover would do fine. We heard coyotes both nights but the never came into camp and stayed pretty far away from what it sounds like. Overall, an amazing campsite and I will definitely be back.

Private and relaxing
Tent
Honestly one of the best designed, cleanest, most private campsites I've ever stayed at. Randy was the most communicative host I've ever had, messaging us months in advance of our stay, and he would reply very quickly anytime we had a question. You can tell by the craftsmanship of the tables and design of the sites the Randy really cares about his property and loves what he does. The pit toilet was very clean, definitely a plus for us haha! If you book this site you will also have plenty of deer and turkeys as your camping buddies with lots of entertainment! We can't wait to stay here again.

Quiet retreat
Tent
We love this site! Strongly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet spot. Several different pads to choose from with a clean vault toilet and plenty of clean water provided daily. Just a short hike up the hill behind the sites offers a breathtaking view at sunset. It was fairly quiet the first night (thursday) a but more traffic and noise the 2nd evening (Friday). Host was very communicative. We would love to come back!

Off-grid camping.
Tent
This was our first experience with Hipcamp and we couldn’t have asked for a better host! Randy was great and the site was perfect! It has beautifully built tables and Randy has everything you need to set up a fire (as long as fire restrictions allow). The site is spacious and well taken care of. We had beautiful views of the sunset and the area was all to ourselves. Randy made sure we had everything we needed, and let us know he was available if we needed any additional water or had any questions. I would recommend Randy’s land to everyone!
