Peaceful, quiet, luxurious, historic, wine country experience. Tara Winery offers a unique vineyard and winery resort style experience. Discover Tara and the myths surrounding the secrets of the vines. TARA was named after the sailboat TARA, pierce family started the vineyard in 2006 and opened the winery in 2007. The historic Murchison mansion is an iconic structure in the midst of the vines. Onsite tasting room and restaurant with share plates and full meals. In 2023, we have added a beautiful 50 ft pool with lovely water features, there is an activity fee to use the pool. Please plan to arrive before dark, so you can get settled in the daylight. If you would like a beautiful view of the winery property, ground camping throughout the vineyard is available and most popular ! There is quick access to our winery and food service if you prefer to relax under our covered patio, or pick up a rib eye or filet  from the chef and cook it yourself on your propane grill our our community grill. Enjoy your hand crafted estate wine from TARA winery while camping under the stars. You can be among others or select a remote location. Fires permitted only in designed fire pits. No exceptions.Camping throughout the Tara Vineyard property.  We have primitive sites available in the wooded trail. Overall good wine a beautiful property. Hospitality on the low end was expecting something more. Also $20 for a pool pass is ridiculous. Would not recommend to any young colored individuals.

Weekend getaway.
Very open and friendly. Very laid back. A perfect weekend get away to pop a tent and go enjoy some great wine and people.

Beautiful place very friendly and helpful. We camped on one of the designated camping areas on the property. Had a little trouble getting further back into the land due to the storms that came through. My son and I were still able to have a good time. There was a very friendly pup roaming the camping area. He hung out with us during our stay.

Tara Winery, great food/wine
Wow, this was a great find! The property was extensive with lots of sites to choose from. The kitchen menu was gourmet and expertly prepared and served. The wine was good too. Susan and her staff, Kim and Austin are all friendly and professional. We met many other amazing Hip-campers at our stay! Thank you for everything! (I would also highly recommend buying the pool pass).

They were very friendly, had lots of good wines, beautiful views. On a not so positive note the solar shower was cold!

It was a great experience. Went for the solar eclipse. Campsite was awesome. The property is beautiful. The staff was great. The food and wine was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.
