We are in the 2024 solar eclipse's totality zone! ~ Enjoy sunset views in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. With a luxe 1 bedroom cabin, a 3 bed/2bath house, 4 RV sites, goats and sheep you can visit with and watch during your stay, and an ideal central location; we're a great space to plug into so you can unplug from the rest. Hang back and let the animals and birds entertain you--or you're minutes away from the lake and boat ramps, less than 15 minutes to the beautiful Guadalupe River (floating, fly fishing, hiking trails), 20 minutes to Blanco and Wimberley (Jacob's Well, Blue Hole, shopping, restaurants), only 35 minutes to San Marcos, Gruene, New Braunfels, and north San Antonio, and 50-60 minutes to Austin.
Over Yonder is a relaxing, intimate 3 acre space. Please feel free to wander the property, excluding the fenced paddock that is home to the goats and sheep (southeastern corner) and the other dwelling areas that may have guests or residents. There are paths leading to the paddock, and the animals love to be watched from the fence. If they approach the fence, you are more than welcome to reach in to pet them, feel their horns, and give them some scratches. They're friendly, though if they decide you or your clothing taste good, they may begin to give you an exploratory nibble. : )
There are a few seating areas along the pathways, a couple of which have fire pits. These areas are communal and yours to fully enjoy.
Other dwelling areas to please be mindful of are the Sunset Cabin (dark green with silver metal roof by the road), the Mana House (middle of the property with the small fenced backyard), the RV sites, and the Cabin in the Midst (coming soon, dark green metal building).
Please feel as at home as possible. We hope everyone that stays at Over Yonder is reminded of their cosmic roots as they enjoy life by the lake, under the stars.
