Amazing!
Beautiful landscape!! Horses everywhere! They were very friendly! Horseback riding was amazing as well! Hosts were kind and welcoming. Not much shade on campsites but with the cold weather that wasn’t a problem for us. Plenty of portapotties available onsite. Lake had plenty of small fish that we were able to catch and release. Already have our next trip booked!!

The site itself was very cute, however communication was very difficult and a little confusing. I had purchased firewood with them and had to call 3 times and leave a voicemail that also got no reply. I didn't get my firewood until the sun had already set it was around 7 or 8 (slightly frustrating when the fire was the way you wanted to cook dinner.) Also you are locked in so I left a little later than planned trying to find someone to unlock the gate, because of course nobody answered the phone. Cool site to walk around and see cows and horses as long as you are okay with being stuck in there and purchase firewood BEFORE arrival not with them.

Camping under the stars!
The area we stayed at (drive up past the pond on the right, towards the porta potty, and you will find a camping area under a beautiful nestle of trees) it was beautiful and private. Far from the pond meant no bugs!
There is a brick ring for a fire pit and the porta potty was clean. We were greeted in the morning by roaming sheep with a few babies and a dog. At night we did hear many coyotes as well as a very loud bar across the field. I think the ponds helped carry the music but it did not take away from the experience. The owners Gerard and Barbara Jean are incredibly nice but are still learning the ropes of hipcamp. The horses were wonderful to nuzzle and feed but are really only for very very experienced riders. They are not trail horses or for those that need any guidance or do not have years of experience. Overall I would come back again, knowing the spot to stay in and to bring everything you may need with you.
