Site 2 - Lost Woods Campground
We were looking for a place to camp in San Antonio where we could access the campground late night and this site worked out perfectly! 30 minutes from downtown San Antonio so it's far but still within the city limits which is nice if you're trying to do things in town while camping. The host was super helpful. People complained about the traffic noise, early in the night there were a few annoying loud racecars going up and down the highway nearby but past midnight it was mostly just normal volume traffic noise which didn't keep me up. The one thing I'd say to be cautious about is the spiders/bugs. There were a ton of spiders getting in my 4Runner after I drove in so just keep that in mind when setting up your camp, check for spiders and don't let them into your tent or sleeping area

Amazing and relaxing. Site 6 was perfect for a solo get away, but it’s also ideal for a group! Totally recommend !

It may have been the season, but there were so many mosquitoes that it was impossible to camp.

Great hideaway
The land is beautiful. Oak, cedar, mountain Laurel, and persimmon trees provide great shade. Lots of paths and dry creek beds to explore. Texas summer is brutal so I will definitely be going back in the fall and winter months. When we arrived, the previous campers left quite a mess. Owner was very willing to make it right, which he did. We had a couple of drunk kids in the site next to us. Not too loud, but for some reason wanted to disturb us by knocking on our camper. The next morning same thing. I kindly explained to them that I'm not interested in talking to anyone. We went to the woods to be away from people, but they always seem to find us. No problem because we had the next 2 days all to ourselves and it was overall a great experience. It's in the woods, but the city is close by in case you need it.
