Ocotillo Grande
Somehow I missed my turn and kept on going nearly 2 miles and nearly got stuck. Lucky for me I made it thru / however when I had concerns, I called Wes and he was there for me if I needed further assistance, made me feel much more at ease.

Ocotillo Grande
Super dusty and exposed. Good views, but right on top of an old gas line; very little vegetation to damper the dust.

Beautiful
The most beautiful picturesque spot in the region. Plenty of space to roam around.

Great campsite & prime location
The campsite was great! The 4 of us who took this trip would recommend it to anyone going out to Guadalupe national park!
We went out there with 2 4WD vehicles and the terrain wasn’t difficult for them at all. The campsite itself self is very secluded within the gate, but you can still see the road in the distance if you’re the anxious type. The 3 yuccas that mark the site were very noticeable, even at night, which is nice. And there are rock statues that mark the path to the campsite. There are plenty of spaces for multiple tents and the fire pit came in handy for meals. Not to mention the amazing view of El Capitan every morning!
The location itself is great too! It’s only 10 minutes from Guadalupe’s Pine Springs visitor center, 40 minutes from salt basin dunes, and about 1.5hrs to Carlsbad, and 1.10 hours to Carlsbad caverns. And less than 2 hours to White Sands. So if you’re a national park junky like us, this is the perfect spot!

Ocotillo Grande
My husband and I loved camping here. The views were beautiful! It was easy to find the site, and the location was perfect. It was only about 10 minutes away from GMNP. We could hear the highway and see it from a distance, but the noise was minimal. We were also spaced really far away from our camping neighbors, so much so that it honestly felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Wes was helpful and communicative. 10/10. We'd definitely come back!
