The lake is a little low right now, but you can still sit at the water's edge and relax with a glass of wine, watching the wildlife. The Gazebo offers a view of the lake and horses, a privacy front porch to sit outside of your little house. We are very close to many small towns for shopping, dining, antiquing, river floating, Gruene Hall dancing and concerts. This little house is shaped like a Gazebo and use to be the caretaker's home. It has been remodeled and guests can use the 15 acre property to walk around the manmade lake, sit at the pier. Or you can use as a base to go exploring the many short trips to the surrounding towns. Gruene, New Braunfels, Seguin, Cibolo, Schertz, Geronimo and San Marcos are 20 to 30 minutes away and San Antonio or Austin are about 45 to an hour. Many native wild flowers and wildlife.  There is a kitchen and TV with an analog antenna that has many good channels.  Great cell reception in the area.   There are privacy separated camp sites near the Gazebo but with a no children and 27 year old age restrictions, this is a quiet, relaxing getaway for a weekend or longer.

Gazebo getaway by the lake
Sweet little gazebo in the hill cou
This is the most lovely little place, a gazebo turned into a cabin. The furnishings were nice, the bathroom and kitchenette were very were appointed, and the A/C was up to Texas weather. The gazebo was in a pasture away from the ranch buildings, and there was small pond right next to it which attracted a lot of birds. About 40 minutes from the San Antonio airport, away from city lights (not as dark as we were hoping, still good for astrophotography). I heartily and absolutely recommend this site!

Cute spot
Pretty cute spot, nice and relaxing. There’s a bungalow next to the pad so if you care about privacy theirs that. (I think it was empty when we stayed) Nice host, friendly dog, a bit over priced for what you get and you still have to pay $30 PER person to fish the pond if your into fishing lol.

Great Setup!
Vera was an excellent host. We had trouble backing in our camper when we arrived, so she hopped in our truck and backed it in like a pro. The site is overlooking a nice sized man made lake that has a really nice pier and seating. Very relaxing. There is a small bungalow next to the camping pad, but no one was renting at the time so we had the entire area to ourselves. There was a storm during our stay and she was very thoughtful in checking in on us and offering a parking structure for our camper had we needed it. They have the sweetest Ranch dog that would come and visit when he wasn’t following Vera around. We would recommend this place if you want to be out in the country but still within 20-30 mins to a town if you wanted to go eat, shop or whatever.

Lovely place!
This is a lovely country place with easy access to San Antonio or New Braunfels. A level stone pad with water and electric and trash overlooking a lake (complete with dock and deck chairs) and grazing horses. Vera is very accommodating and responds quickly to query. She put markers by her driveway so we knew where to pull in and where to park. She met us on arrival to answer questions and be sure we were settled. Would definitely recommend!
