Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Nestled in Concan, TX, spanning over 230 scenic acres, this property offers a beautiful and picturesque setting. Horses and goats reside on the ranch, housed in pens. If you're fortunate, you might encounter the ranch owner, who occasionally offers trail rides. With hills and hiking trails, it's an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Primitive camping is available, though campfires are not permitted. Conveniently located across the street from Garner State Park.At the bottom of the hills, there is flat land to pitch a tent and park your car. Perfect to park your car and hike up the hills and enjoy the view of the hill country. On Monday, April 8th, for the total eclipse, we will have live music and a food truck. We will also have porta potty’s available Friday 3/5 thru Tuesday am. Horses and goats are in the property but will be penned. This camping site area on the ranch is only open for dates around the total solar. eclipse.

Camping for the Eclipse
20 ft campervan
Our group of seven felt very fortunate to find Tyler's Hipcamp for the solar eclipse. She and Clayton went out of their way to make it an amazing experience. They night before they served food (including fajitas tacos) and had a country singer perform. They brought in porta potties and a food truck serving brisket on the day of the eclipse. The singer performed again on the day of the eclipse. Tyler and Clayton exemplify Texas hospitality. We loved watching the herd of goats that are on the property. Thank you Tyler and Clayton for opening up your land - we had a great experience!

Solar Eclipse 2024 Camping Event
Tent · With pets
It was peaceful and enjoyable. I appreciated when they asked how I was doing, especially being a solo female. Very friendly team. Treated everyone with music and fajita's Saturday night. Thank you for the porta potty's for the event. HipCamp had the arrival time of 5pm incorrect. I'm glad I reached out to Tyler to ask for an earlier arrival time. My only advice is to let people know Elm Creek Stables is to the right of the convenience store. GPS took me everywhere but to the right. It was quite pricey but it was the Solar Eclipse. Normally I would say no way am I paying that for one Only negative, their dog, unleashed, didn't care much for my Jaiden. Monday morning I left the site to grab some coffee from town. As I re-entered their dog came chasing after my car and I, literally, feared that it was going to jump inside my window to go after my Jaiden, who was enjoying the view from an open window. It SCARED me to pieces so I stepped on the gas to get away. Fortunately I had no scratches on the car from the jump. After this specific incident, it caused me a little bit of anxiety and would go to my car with Jaiden when I saw him walking nearby. I didn't feel safe after this, so I felt a need to stay close to my car. Walking around was no longer an option. Not sure, I would go back just for that reason. Other than this, I will say, it was peaceful and enjoyable,
