El Cosmico takes its inspiration from a long American history of hippies, nomads, bohemians and those living a life of self-determination. We believe in tuning in, dropping out and being here now. Vehicles are not allowed onto the grounds, so if you are staying in your car or RV you will post up in our large parking lot with easy access to the grounds. Tent camping is dispersed, so you pick your space within the designated camping areas that are indicated on the property map provided at the front desk. Front desk hours are from 7:30am-11:00pm daily. If you are arriving after 11pm please call ahead for late check-in instructions. We provide the earth, you provide the shelter. BYO-Tent. Camping in your own tent or vehicle is $30 per night, per tent or vehicle for reservations checking in Sunday through Thursday and $50 per night for reservations checking in on Friday or Saturday nights (kids under 13 camp for free), and includes access to our communal spaces and bathhouses. Vehicles are not allowed onto the grounds, so if you are staying in your car or RV you will post up in our large parking lot with easy access to the grounds. Tent camping is dispersed, so you pick your space within the designated camping areas that are indicated on the property map. Maps are available at the front door of our main building. No need to check-in with the front desk, just grab a map and set-up.

Self Camping at El Cosmico
I've stayed at Cosmico a dozen times at this stage. I am never disappointed. I always just camp in my own tent and although sometimes some of the airstreams and teepees look attractive and worth the money, anyone dumb enough to pay for one of those military style tents is a silly Billy. 5 stars

Tons of character and style
What a cool place. Great Marfa vibe. Great setting and tons of character. Lovely hangout area with sofas and cool tunes. Unique outdoor tubs. It was very quiet (late October) and I imagine it can be pretty busy when the stage is used and trailers booked out. Good value for self camping . Maybe a bit pricey for the other facilities .

Self Camping at El Cosmico
I loved the layout at El Cosmico and how close it was to town. They provide all camp guests with hot indoor and outdoor showers as well as flushing toilets which really upgrades the camping experience. They also have a beautiful gift shop and lounge area where they serve delicious coffee every morning. My only complaints are how close the tent camping is to the road as road noise was significant, and that they leave overhead string lights on at night which makes it too bright for stargazing and sleeping. Would recommend bringing earplugs and an eye mask. Regardless, we really enjoyed our time there and will most definitely be back!!!

Close to “downtown” Marfa, a hip place to hang out! Parked in their large lot and car-camped quite comfortably. Multiple well-supplied bathrooms and showers available. Cool spot.

Luxurious for Campers Not Glampers
My intention is not to give a low rating. We really liked El Cosmico, however I wouldn't recommend it to everyone or all the time. If you have experience camping (or cabin-ing) places where a flush toilet and a sink became your definition of comfort and luxury, then the bathrooms at El Cosmico won't cause you any consternation. They are very clean, but they're not the most private experience. We self-camped when very few people were there, and had a ton of space to ourselves, while not feeling isolated. The grounds are super fun and the communal kitchen was super handy. It is next to a busy road and the spot we picked was fairly nosy with traffic. But the grass was cushy, there were lots of shade options and picnic tables to camp next to! Again, my intention is not to give a bad review. But if you're shy or particular about your business this might not be the place for you.
