At the Confluence of the Mighty Llano River and the Majestic James River lies something completely unexpected - an undiscovered gem in the Texas hill country. The Dos Rios. We have over 19.3 acres of hill country beauty to explore. Take a casual dip in the mighty Llano River, or take the plunge off of 20-foot red rock cliffs into deep cool water. Kayak, canoe, swim, visit the Eckart Bat Cave, or take a scenic drive down the gorgeous James River Road (a winding gravel road that goes over several low water crossings on the crystal clear James River). Enjoy the island in front of the property, with its beaches and multiple access points to swimming holes. We also have camping, a tiny home and a fully renovated vintage airstream available (see other Hipcamp listings). We also rent kayaks and canoes! www.dosriosrvpark.com

Site 3 - Dos Rios Camping
Great tent spot near the restrooms and river access. I usually prefer more secluded camping, but I really enjoyed the site! There was plenty of shade, a picnic table, and cute smaller table and two chairs. There was not a hammock as a previous comment stated, which was fine for me but just giving other campers a heads up! There are people coming to the bathrooms and showers pretty often, but I never had any issues with noise. I arrived after dark and had a very difficult time finding my site, the signage was not very helpful and didn’t really show me where to go, I had to end up pulling up the site map and following it until I was in the right spot on the map. This was my only downside!

Jupe - Site 2 - Riverfront Camping
Loved it!
The Llano River is beautiful- super clear and clean. The Jupe site was scenic with overlooking the river. There was always a great breeze coming off the riverfront. A/C did not cool the tent down very well though. Campgrounds were well kept. The Jupe tent site was more secluded. However, if you have a cabin or RV, the sites are very close to each other with no privacy. Tammy, the campground manager was very friendly and helped with finding ice and pick up transportation for kayaking.

Jupe - Site 40 - Cliff Hanger
so great!!
dos rios was so great. it was peaceful and quiet, but there were plenty of other groups near by that it felt safe. i decided to drive down to the river everyday because it was a bit of a walk with all my stuff but that was no problem. my dog and i loved swimming in the river and the view during sunset from the jupe was perfect from the porch. mason is such a cute little texas town. i’ll definitely be back

Jupe - Tent site 1
I can’t quite put into words just how perfect this place was for us! We stayed in the new Jupe tent (site 1, far end with the great view), and it was PERFECT! Tammy was incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating, and her granddaughter who works the front desk was as well! The stars were AMAZING and the river was beautiful! I’m already planning on going back asap! Thanks for making this quick trip so memorable!!!
