At the Confluence of the Mighty Llano River and the Majestic James River lies something completely unexpected - an undiscovered gem in the Texas hill country. The Dos Rios. We have over 19.3 acres of hill country beauty to explore. Take a casual dip in the mighty Llano River, or take the plunge off of 20-foot red rock cliffs into deep cool water. Kayak, canoe, swim, visit the Eckart Bat Cave, or take a scenic drive down the gorgeous James River Road (a winding gravel road that goes over several low water crossings on the crystal clear James River). Enjoy the island in front of the property, with its beaches and multiple access points to swimming holes. Site 11 - Dos Rios Camping

The stars were amazing

I think campsites need to be not as close together and arrows drawn on the signs for direction would be good. The campsites were hard to navigate. We were looking for 11 and the campsites are listed by letters instead. So we just picked one. Host at the front entrance was nice though! But we did leave our tent and come back and someone had been inside our tent. Which wasn’t a good feeling. Only other thing people should note is that it’s very desert out there. Hot in the day and freezing at night. But the stars were awesome to see!!

Site 12 - Dos Rios Camping

The campsites were overgrown and covered in large rocks which were hard to move in order to have flat ground for a tent.

Site 11 - Dos Rios Camping

The river was awesome!!! The sites were good a little not so leveled buts its camping . The showers and bathrooms were dirty could have been better . I would stay again maybe do an Rv site .

Great quiet family campground

Great spot, very quiet, clean and peaceful. The gentleman who works in the office is awesome as well!

Site 9 - Dos Rios Camping

Found Dos Rios to be a great campground. Clean bathrooms. The walk down to the river is an easy nice mellow slope. The person at the office was super friendly and full of info on the local points of interest. Definitely will stay again.

Site 3 - Dos Rios Camping

Fire Ants, Disgusting Restroom, etc

We had our hopes up for this one. All the pictures look lovely. The communication was spot on. We arrived to site 3 to find 1) no flat space for tents, 2) an infestation of fire ants (They were EVERYWHERE.), 3) suspicious-looking, unidentified PVC pipes coming out of the ground that may have been septic-related?, and 4) the dirtiest "bathhouse"/restroom we've ever seen. We were pretty disappointed having driven a couple hours, but didn't feel comfortable and made the decision to drive back home that day.
