Spacious, level camping well-suited for travel trailers over 40 ft long.
Full RV hookups
Electrical, water, and sewage hookups are available at all sites.
In the heart of Killeen, we have a small RV park with electric hookups and a dump station. Convenient to all amenities in Killeen and Fort Hood, we're a great option for short-term stays in the city.
We're available 7 days a week, and we'd love to accommodate your stay in Killeen. These are very basic RV sites - a flat area to park with electric hookups. We don't have typical RV park amenities (tables, BBQ pits, restroom facilities, recreation options, etc). We're a bare bones option for short-term stays.
This RV park is managed by the Killeen Civic and Conference Center.
When we booked this site, the posted pictures had shown a somewhat rundown situation, but we were disparate for a place to be for the eclipse. We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled in. All sites had recently been paved, were level, had water and power with a new ornamental rock between sites. Our site had been advertised as a back in site, but had been improved to a pull through. A two way, free dump station was just to the north of the camping area along with big dumpsters. The location is off the main road and was quite. Easy access from the highway and big rig friendly. This is a place for self contained rigs, there are no restroom facilities. Great and quick communication with the host. (FYI Sites 1-10 are on the larger side with a bit more space between sites).
We stayed here for the solar eclipse. Site needs a new picture.
The area had just been paved, and was in great shape. We had
electricity and water on site, with dumpster and dump station close by.
People were friendly and we all had a great time viewing the eclipse
together. Thank you, Killeen Texas!
I didn’t end up using the campsite because I ended up not viewing the Eclipse in Arkansas. However, the host, Danielle, was SO communicative and so nice! I would recommend any campsite she hosts based on communication alone. :)
We stayed here for the solar eclipse. The rv pads have been paved, no more dirt …all sites are basically pull through sites. We felt comfortable to stay here. Many stores are walking distance, like Lowe’s, ALDI, TSC, kohls. There is a hotel next to the civic center with a restaurant. Good prices for food.
Just one negative comment( I hate to post this)… the water supply is buried so when it rains the area fills up with the rain water. Also, some sites have to go thru other campsites to connect to the water source. We were lucky to share this with other rv-ers without any problems.
However, all an all….we had fun, great place, had security come by daily….
Also, thank you for a great experience for the 2024 solar eclipse…
Nice basic site with electric and water. At a slight incline, but not bad. Water pressure was a little low, but adequate. New blacktop on all the sites. Dump station is nearby.
Sites are blacktop, slight incline. Very clean and well patrolled by the police dept. Good for overnight or a few days to see fort hood area.
