Several friendly and permanent residents and farm animals. Creek-side private campground hideaway available. This is a CAMPGROUND: NO RV, ROOM, BED, INVOLVED - BRING A TENT AND GEAR FOR COMFORT (check my other listings for an RV stay). This a "want to camp" campground and not a living solution. If you "need to camp" due to financial or other reasons, Camp EZ will likely not be a good fit for you. 6 nights maximum stay. Not suitable for very young children. Please include your child in your count. Campfires in designated area only with permission (burn ban sometimes). Bring firewood. Community vibe 'round here; everyone is expected to be quiet and respectful of one another and clean up after themselves "leave no trace" style. Six night maximum stay. This is not a KOA or a state park. This is a home hostel/campground. It's kind of rustic and we like it that way. You may see a roach, ant or cricket and you may also see a deer, fox or coyote. We are busy and not always able to visit for long. Lots of remodeling and flood related cleanup chaos here but also lots of pretty and secluded nature. Magical Eclectic Camping in Austin

We had a delightful time camping at Camp EZ for our kiddo's birthday! You arrive and the first thing you see after you park is a big wooden door with an eclectic sign (made of old license plates) that says CAMP EZ. Our son pushed the door open to reveal a gravel path (strewn with colorful glass gems) lined with campers, caravans, wooden cottages, oak trees (with chandeliers hanging in them!). The whole place has a magical fairy vibe and is filled with all sorts of odd and ends that the children were mesmerized by! As you walk along the path, you notice two sweet donkeys and a collection of goats in their pens happily snacking or snoozing. Then you'll see a lovely vegetable garden with plenty of happy chickens in their pen nearby. Your host James greets you and guides you to where your camping spot options are. Our boys picked a spot down by the creek with a picnic table! The bathrooms were tidy and decorated with vintage mermaid posters (our boys loved the mermaid/pirate vibes in each bathroom!). We used the outdoor kitchen to cook up our breakfast and coffee in the morning and we took an evening stroll along the path (which is lit up with all sorts of old lamps and lights in all different colors) before drifting off to sleep (a few urban noises like road noise, dogs barking, the occasional helicopter, cut through the peaceful atmosphere but as night came on, it was just the sound of crickets and the wind rustling through the trees). What a happy weekend, we will be back!

loved staying here :) love the community kinda of feeling this placed has! as soon as you walk through the camp door it changed vibes into a completely different and beautiful place. It was a EZ stay and a great place to camp <3

My girlfriend and I were camping throughout most of Texas when we stayed at camp EZ for a few nights. It's was a great experience overall. Everyone was very friendly and the outdoor showers were amazing! We stayed in a tent and still have privacy and you don't really hear traffic noise. Waking up to the sounds of all the birds was very relaxing. We'll definitely be back later this year.

So Close and So Far Out

Camp EZ in Austin was fabulous! There is a local hotel in Austin with the slogan “so close, but so far out” and that fits Camp EZ perfectly as well. The camp is located in the middle of South Austin and very close to Downtown. James was an excellent host and the atmosphere at camp was peaceful, eclectic and had a nice rural feel due to some cute farm animals on the premises (in their pens of course). I would love to come back out again to camp.

This camp is honestly just so cool. If you are looking for a sanitized, predictable campground I would not recommend this camp but if youre looking for something unique and awesome I would 100% recommend it. It certainly was a different experience for me but everyone here is awesome to meet and talk to.

This is such a gem inside the city. A little urban oasis. The layout is big enough that you feel like you have your own space, but you never have to walk for to get to the amenities. Its cozy, charming and feels very welcoming. I would come back to Austin just to stay here.

I didn't end up making it to my scheduled weekend over Thanksgiving and while I enjoy supporting local businesses and would even donate (it was $100-120 for the four days), when I texted the host this, James, about using those 4 days another time and thanked him either way..he didn't have the decency to respond at least saying yay or nay it wasn't doable or it was...just ignored. Either way would have been understandable, but I just donated $100 or so to your local business...real neighborly.....Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Bud.

I came for rest and a peaceful atmosphere and that is what I got. Everyone was very nice. It had the things I required: toilet, shower and potable water as well as wi-fi and a kitchen! Nothing to complain about.

Feels like you're in an enchanted forest with fun lights and the sounds of fountains all around and lots of unique collectible items to look at. Very quiet and people on site were friendly.

CampEZ was so nice! I’ve never been camping before so sleeping in a tent was very new for me haha! But CampEZ was a breeze. The outdoor showers were nice and private and so were the toilets. The outdoor kitchen was also very nice! I enjoyed waking up to the birds and walking to the kitchen to make breakfast. Everything was so whimsical and beautiful! I’d love to stay here again! :)

Great place to stay! It's actually in Austin and was pretty close to the show we were going to. Restrooms and showers made for an easy quick getaway. They have an outdoor kitchen and everyone is very welcoming. Will definitely be using again any time we are up there!

Very "hip" place to camp... Beautiful spot. Fun eclectic things to look at. Loved the goats, chickens and donkeys. Fun kitchen amenities. Great location to be close to Austin.
