Thirty acres of NE Texas prairie land.  The back 16 acres is completely wild.  Only 90 minutes from Dallas, yet a world away. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent in the wild back part of the property (a short walk from the parking area and you may borrow a wagon) and have the opportunity to see and hear wildlife with no light pollution.  Stars so bright and air so clean, you will feel civilization slipping away in no time.  If you're interested in learning what it takes to run a fiber ranch, we'll let you help with the daily routine of caring for Angora goats, Huacaya alpacas, and Shetland sheep, as well as Livestock Guardian Dogs, and assorted cats.   IMPORTANT: Check-in at least 1 hour before sunset. Unfortunately, no exceptions.

      Texas Prairie and Fiber Ranch!
      The place is ok. The dogs bark all night and are right near the site. They also will charge for services they don’t provide and won’t give refunds. I had to write to hipcamp about it and they advised me to post this review.

      Texas Prairie and Fiber Ranch!
      I loved tent camping on Christine's land! We were the only ones there on Friday, so we had so much privacy. Christine is very friendly, and my kids loved the animal tour. We even got to feed the alpacas!

      Texas Prairie and Fiber Ranch!
      Our family had a grand time on Christine’s land. Our tent site was quiet and surrounded my trees, but we were close enough to hear the animals. My kids loved exploring and interacting with the animals. We felt secluded but safe, and it was fantastic viewing the stars with no light pollution. We’ll be visiting again.

      We had a great time at the ranch! Our kids loved seeing all the animals and exploring the campsite. Christine was very helpful and responsive! Thanks for a great stay!

      Texas Prairie and Fiber Ranch!
      Christine was great; very communicative, flexible, and friendly. Her property is peaceful and each camping spot seems to be well hidden from the others. The angora goats and alpacas were an added treat.

      Texas Prairie and Fiber Ranch!
      Christine is a stupendous host! My daughters had the best time on the freshly mowed trails and keep talking about all the animals!! She had a great recommendation for breakfast (Cattleman’s)! She even helped us caravan all our camping gear we packed (which was too much). Definitely top notch experience and the girls are ready to go again!
