Canon Lake camp
Private little clearing with a drive way to park. Not in anyone’s backyard which was nice.

Canon Lake camp
Very nice site close to the highway that was perfect for a quiet retreat. It was easy to find and had very nice scenery with beautiful wildflowers, nice trees, a picturesque pond and plenty of open space. I would definitely come again if I'm ever in the area.

Canon Lake camp
This is a great spot! We came in the spring for one night and the wildflowers were amazing! The area is very private but easily accessible and has decently flat land for parking. It is a great getaway from the city and I would highly recommend it!

Canon Lake camp
Pros: beautiful little chunk of land with an abundance of wildflowers and the pond nearby. Lots of birding and wildlife to observe. Cons: There are no amenities or facilities, just a raw piece of land. Lots of barking dogs in the neighborhood. And I think that since we were the first ones to ever camp here, the neighbor came over early in the morning and woke us up, asking us why we were there and then proceeded to call the sheriff. Thankfully the sheriff was really understanding and kind once we explained that it was a hipcamp site, but the neighbor really ruined the experience. We reached out to the host and explained everything, and he was apologetic and refunded us back our camp cost. I would assume that he’ll talk to the neighbor so prevent the same situation happening again in the future.
