Decent Place to Bed Down
I didn't spend too much time at the campground, got in late and left early as I was passing through. What stuck out to me was that the campground facilities were well kept, and the host was very easy to work with.
One thing that would keep me from rating it higher would be the several trains that came through rather noisily waking me up a few times. Maybe bring some ear plugs if you are noise sensitive.
Another thing to consider when visiting is that the road leading up to the campground crosses a raised railroad that is steep on both sides. You should exercise some caution. The night I came and the morning I left were both dark, foggy and with occasional rain which made driving more hazardous. When approaching the railroad tracks I couldn't see the road over the hood of my mid size truck once I began to get half way.

Booking and arrival was super easy but the primitive campsites are not worth the price. The train is super loud, the campsites are very difficult to find in the dark and the map at the beginning of the campsite is confusing. The signage around is also pretty spread out. Possibly a great place for cabins or group camping but not for primitive solo.

Great stay and beautiful weather
Camping here was great. The property was very nice. The bathhouse was not only clean, but well kept up with and there was instant hot water.
Sure it’s right next to an active train track. I live next to a train track so that didnt bother me.
I would go back!

I love the meadows. I bit pricy for what you get….BUT THE TRAIN NOISE IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.

Sites are not flat & beware of dogs
We only found 2 campsites that were flat enough for a tent and there are two resident dogs that my kids were not a fan of. We ended up leaving and staying somewhere else.
