Quiet but misleading
4 m travel trailer · With pets
First, we did find the entrance thanks to the sign and using Shafer’s as a landmark. After the intersection though, it was not clear exactly where we were going. We got to our site, set up, and started to relax when someone pulled up in a truck and let us know we were on his land. He point us to a lot next door. We had to move everything in the dark, which could have easily been avoided with a sign designating the lot. The lot had not been mowed in a very long time. The posting says the ramp is “steps away,” which is misleading. If you have a boat or kayak, you aren’t steps away. From the site, there is not private access to the river or even a river view unless you stand on the ledge. One positive is that it was quiet and private. Better signage, photos, and transparency could really help campers make informed decisions and know what they’re getting into.

Great spot. I would happily stay here again. I got a Tacoma dclb with a 10ft cargo trailer back there no problem.
