Peaceful nights and good fishing
Our stay at Kaiabunga Kamp 1 was a great success! If you’re familiar with primitive camping, this spot will be right up your alley. We brought along a canoe and spent the weekend fishing. The lake was stocked a few years back, and we had luck catching foot-long bass and bluegill using rooster tail spinners. A quick heads-up—there’s a private property directly across from the campsite, so avoid parking on that land or using the dock. The owner has cameras, and we mistakenly thought it was part of our rental. Although we didn’t use them, there are a slide, zip line, and trampoline that would be perfect for smaller kids. There’s no Wi-Fi in the area, but we didn’t mind. If you need anything, there’s a Dollar General nearby. Overall, a GREAT trip!

Beautiful Lake
I didn't get the full experience because it was storming off and on, but I had a great time anyway. The lake is beautiful, and I caught a ridiculous number of bass. Will be back with my daughter to enjoy some sunshine!
