Get Lost or Find Yourself. Sway Camping is a private, Off Grid camping experience in Rock Island TN. Situated between Isha Yoga center, Fall Creek Falls, and Rock Island state park, this property is something special. Each campsite offers a private space perfect for getting away, or large enough for family and groups. Pet Friendly property with lots of room to be a part of nature along the beautiful Rocky River. Camp along the river or up in your own private forest. One of the darkets skies around so be ready for some stargazing at night by the fire. This is a property I purchased in 2018 to create a camping experience that reflected the image of camping as a kid. This isn’t a "hotel without walls." This is real camping. No phone signal. No electric wires. Just nature and beauty in a quiet environment. Get lost or find yourself relaxing along the Rocky River. Stay in a hammock, a tent, camper, RV, or one of our cabins. Privacy and freedom is what we are about. Pet friendly camping that should be shared, but please don't tell everyone you know. Only your favorite people.. Then come camp!

Sway Forest Private Camp
Peace on the mountaintop
Our campground was so peaceful, and even though we knew that there were other campers in the area, we never ran across them. We couldn’t hear them while we were there. It rained, but the covering of the pines protected us so that we only got a drizzle. And in the morning, we got to wake up to the sound of cattle lowing. Our only drawback was it was late in the season so if you go late in the season, just be sure to bring some firewood with you. Our host was very communicative and helping us find our way to his location and making sure our needs were met. We will definitely be back!

River Camping
We absolutely loved camping at Chris’s place. He was a super welcoming host and very personable. We enjoyed chatting with him as he showed us his property and our site. Once he got us settled in we were left to enjoy our site by the water and explore the beautiful woods in complete privacy. Very much looking forward to our return. Thanks Chris!

Star Field
Wow!! The stars were amazing. The site was amazing. And Chris was amazing. Chris was so nice even though I came in late. He still called me and helped me around the site. Would highly recommend for off the grid camping. I was hiking completely alone and needed somewhere safe to camp, and this was the spot. Private and safe!

Naturalist Camping
Chris was an excellent host & showed me several sites so I could find the perfect spot. I was able to get close to the water which was exactly what I needed and loved waking up to the sounds of the water moving. I would absolutely recommend & enjoyed the solitude my soul so badly needed after a long/loud weekend in downtown Nashville.
