Dutch Colonial Revival home built in 1949. Road was main highway from Morristown, home of Davy Crockett (family wayside tavern). Knoxville, Tennessee home located 5 miles from downtown. Access to indoor bathroom with hot and cold water, excellent guest WIFI, electric outlet and water. Outdoor shower with propane tankless hot water (when outdoor temperature is above freezing). Also includes firepit and firewood. One tent campsite with picnic table, firepit, overhead string lights and electric outlet. Easy walking distance to conventional indoor bathroom with sink and toilet. Outdoor shower with hot water. Class B vehicles are welcome. However, larger vehicles will not fit, so Class A vehicles are not included. Two Electric Vehicle level 2 charging stations - with a $15 fee for a full charge. Otherwise, guest can determine a fair reimbursement for use of the station.Motor home, camper or van with access to indoor toilet, outdoor shower, excellent WIFI, picnic table and firepit. Less than five miles to Knoxville downtown center and the University of Tennessee. Motion detector lights to help with walking around the site after dark. Electric Vehicle level 2 charging stations

Hard pass next time

Unsolicited suggestive and evocative comments made by Richard (aka Dixon) left us questioning their relevance and we are not prudish. We felt uneasy. The noise from the highway was louder than expected. From prior comments, I did not anticipate either of these things. We appreciated the close proximity to old town, the hot shower, private bathroom and use of trash.

Hipcamp close to everything!

We tent camped here for a Tennessee football game weekend and it was great. Plenty of amenities like access to heated indoor bathroom, hot outdoor shower and wifi. We used the power outlets that were beside our tent area to set up heated blanket, tv and charge our phones. Super convenient to downtown Knoxville and the university, and within a half mile are gas stations, Waffle House, and a Dunkin’ Donuts (among other options) making this a great little weekend getaway- at a fraction of the cost of high priced hotels. This property is set up perfectly for tent camping or RV. Richard and his wife are great hosts and very accommodating. Highly recommend!

It was a pleasure meeting our very interesting, friendly, and helpful hosts, Richard (Dickson) and Barbara. The accommodation was comfortable and peaceful. I was inspired by the many property developments and projects.

Richard and his bride have a real gem, many upgrades- you have to try the shower- I preferred it over the camper shower. Would stay again.

Hosts were great, very friendly and gave us a great orientation when were arrived. Outdoor shower and facilities were great. Being able to charge overnight made our next day easy. There is a waffle house just down the road and the proximity to downtown was fantastic. Would stay here again.
