Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Friendship Falls Campground is a small campground with ten sites on the river, featuring a small waterfall. We have several tiny homes and RV hookup sites that offer electric, water, and sewer hookups.
Additionally, our property features a bathhouse for all guests to use, as well as a community pavilion for socializing and relaxing
Affordable. Great view of the little waterfall in front of the cabins, didn’t get a chance to enjoy the hot tub due to it not warming up properly. Tried it all day. Really disappointed in that feature because it’s what we wanted the most. The cabin had everything in there that was needed. Also, owner wasn’t responding back to my questions. Kind of hard to reach.
There is a beautiful, large creek right outside your back door. The tiny home is also really enjoyable. It is perfect for two people and one big doggo. It comes with a kitchen full of cookware. The bathroom was very nice, though you can't flush toilet paper.
Some downsides: Communication was limited. I tried to find out what 'no cookware' meant and got a short answer that did not give me specifics. The answer I got was that there was everything two people needed, but since the listing says there was no cookware, I wanted to confirm that there were pots, pans, and dishes. I asked three more times to confirm there were pots, pans, and dishes but got no response. So we drove 4 hours with a full kitchen to find out there were pots, pans, dishes, and a nice coffee machine. They also sent me a message that changed the check-in/check-out times from 2 pm to 4 pm and 12 pm to 10 am when we were about an hour away. We asked if we could check out at noon like it said on the listing and were told that was fine. Then, we got yelled at by the cleaning lady when we were still there at 11 am.
The tiny houses are very, very close together. The pictures do not show how close you are to your neighbor.
The highway behind you is very loud, even at night, and there isn't a lot of space for walking around the property.
It was lovely to swim in the cold creek. There were plenty of places for a full plunge. The trout were jumping beautifully, and the hot tub was really nice at night.
It was a really cozy spot. How it was nestled right by the running creek. The only things I'd build upon would be that the main light did not work. The hot tub was not covered properly, so when we went to get in, it was 80°; it didn't heat up until three next morning. Another thing was that the mini fridge wasn't cold either. Lastly, I received an email from the host on checkout morning that we checked out 2hrs late; the Host sent an email when we checked in that checkout is 10am, but this app said checkout is "sometime before 12",
Wonderful stay! Bedding and towels provided, a full bathroom (small but it’s in there!) towels were replenished the next day which was super nice. A space heater, AC unit and mini fridge also inside. TV with Amazon prime and other options, but the icing on the creek is the personal hot tub. This was just perfect for going into the Smokey mtns and Gatlinburg. The sound of the creek was lovely just enough lights to see at night while in the hot tub. Would definitely stay again and there are other units with larger person capacities available.
We were able to have a relaxing place to stay after hiking all day while still feeling like we were having the "camping" experience. Can hear the road, however not loud enough to keep you away or be disturbing. All in all a great time.
