Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Learn more about this land: A little pocket of forest near downtown Chattanooga... A small spot with a fire pit has been cleared out and ready to pitch a tent. Primitive camping, just a spot in the woods and a fire pit.  This spot is really close to downtown, about 5 miles. City noises can occasionally be heard but it is otherwise really peaceful spot. Private and surrounded by trees; You can camp deeper in the forest if you desire. There are no utilities or tent... just a spot to pitch your tent and beware of mosquitoes, Tennessee mosquitoes are something else.... A little pocket of forest near downtown Chattanooga... Good deal.
Exactly as described -- just a piece of land hidden out of the way. We were in our campervan and just pulled in for the night. We felt safe and it was relatively quiet.

Perfect for the Minimalist
Awesome spot for the true minimalist camper. If you have any complaints about this campsite then you should consider yourself a glamper. Secluded enough to get away from city life while still minutes away from Chattanooga. Space is open enough to accommodate multiple tents with chairs around the fire pit.

A secret wooded alcove
This site is exactly as described. A forested pocket of wilderness in an urban landscape. The sounds of the city and the railroad yard combine into an amalgamation of cicadas, industry and crickets. The site is flat and has room to accommodate one 6 person tent or 2 three person tents. The price is more than fair for what it is. And to be honest, if you’re a rail road guy, the sounds of debutts yard will welcome you with the bells and train brakes squeaking in the distance. It is literally maybe 5 mins to downtown and the aquarium and all the sites. It’s a great value.
