Once a place where Whisky was made under prohibition, the regulators came and bashed down the stills that are still standing along the stream banks. This area was a bulwark for natives that hunted and fished along the stream banks, and there's artifacts that can still can be observed along the canyon where hikers can enjoy. Road is terrible coming into the spot but the hosts were great and the spot was nice and quiet. Very little traffic on the road. We stayed for two weeks. Converted school bus.

Very nice mostly flat space in the woods. Fire ring, bench…Val was lovely and brought me coffee in the morning! Great little spot and an easy drive from Nashville!

Tent
Camping on Valerie's land was very nice. We stopped here on a road trip through Tennessee (we're from Georgia) and had a nice campfire as there was plenty of downed wood on the site. The only catch is to get directions ahead of turning onto the unpaved road. I found it helpful to put Joelton, TN into the GPS if (like us) you have no clue where anything in TN is, then call for more detailed instructions while you have cell service.

Beautiful area!
Tent
It was a great location and Valerie was only a call away! Note: We used our gps through the app and it took us the wrong way - there was a road blocked by a small stream. Make sure you actually look at the map and her directions.
