Once a place where Whisky was made under prohibition, the regulators came and bashed down the stills that are still standing along the stream banks. This area was a bulwark for natives that hunted and fished along the stream banks, and there's artifacts that can still can be observed along the canyon where hikers can enjoy. Beautiful "mountain" views
26 ft travel trailer
We travel in a 26' trailer and truck, 55'long total. Completely self contained. This location was Very peaceful with beautiful views and fabulous sunsets! The road in is gravel with some big pot holes. Most had been recently filled, but was still rough. We crept along at 5 mph (less than a mile) and didn't disturb anything in the camper. The hosts were VERY friendly and offered us coffee! Otherwise we were left to ourselves as we wished. We did not fit on the site they had us booked for, but the offered us 2 other spots even offering to move one of their own vehicles to accommodate us. After 2 days we filled out water tank, and moved on!
