SAME-DAY BOOKINGS MUST BE MADE BY 2 PM THANKS. Semaphore Farm is a 400-acre property with convict history, bordering the Po historic site. It is a private timber reserve and a working forest farm. We have a combination of native eucalypt forest and plantation, and we grow hay and our own beef. We have many walking and bike trails through 150 acres of forest and pasture accessible to campers. The campsite has spring water on tap, a hot shower, toilet, rustic camp kitchen, wood stove, gas BBQ, level sites, and a campfire when permitted. Tent sites are flexible so you can choose your own space within a 2-hectare area, while Level pad sites are limited. The Port Arthur Historic Site and a safe swimming beach are within walking distance and Safety Cove and Remarkable Cave are only a 5-minute drive away. Longer walks, including the Three Capes tracks, are easily accessible. Launch your boat nearby to access good fishing or fish for squid off the Port Arthur jetty. There is plenty of wildlife to see at night and birds during the day. You might even see our resident Wedgetail Eagle! Dog-friendly (must be under control/on a lead/contained). SAME-DAY BOOKINGS MUST BE MADE BY 2 PM THANKS.

Semaphore Farm Level Pad 3
Great views and pet friendly!
We LOVED staying at Semaphore Farm Camp and meeting Marian, our host. The views are spectacular, it’s within walking distance to the Port Arthur ruins, I LOVED the rustic lounge area, was grateful to be able to top up our van with the delicious local spring water and loved that I could take my beautiful dog with us. The highlight for us was spending time chatting with Marian and hearing about the history of the farm and how the camp came to be - it’s her family’s camp. So keep this in mind when you go. Some things for people to know before they go: * The sites are hilly and, being a big rig, we had a bit of trouble betting onto our site. But it is doable and definitely worth it. * The facilities are rustic - this is camp, not a resort. I’ve seen people complain that it’s a drop-loo. Guys, you’re in the bush, expect it. Most Aussie’s are used to a drop loo, they’re fine. * Marian, the host, likes to meet her guests and give them a bit of history about the camp. Expect this. It’s only fair that a host would want to know who’s on their private property. And if you put the timelines together, you’ll understand why this is so important in this part of the world. We LOVED our stay, thoroughly enjoyed meeting and chatting with Marian and we will definitely be back. Only for longer next time.

Semaphore Farm N5 Tent Site
Lovely campsite!
I had the place all to myself when I camped a few days back. It's a stunning location and Marian took the time to come and personally greet me and give me a history of the location (wow!). I arrived on a motorcycle and had a great time.
