Prossers Ridge Richmond is 52 acres of rural paradise within close proximity to the heritage town of Richmond. The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington). The property has good access for all vehicles, and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your doggo along too! We can only accept self-contained campers, so you'll need to have your own camp toilet. There is a dump point within 10km, located in Sorell. Situated within the Coal Valley Wine Region and just 30 minutes from Hobart, the property is the perfect location for travelers looking to sample glorious local food and wine, before returning to their picturesque base camp to recharge. Settle in, and experience the local eagles during the day or the Milky Way at night. You're sure to love camping at Prossers Ridge Richmond.Pitch a tent or pull up your campervan upon the top of the ridge, plenty of space and different level areas to choose from. The views from anywhere up here are spectacular.  Please ensure you have a camp toilet with you - we do not provide facilities - just gorgeous scenery, fresh air, and space!  The camping area has good access for all vehicles.  Situated within the Coal Valley Wine Region and just 30 minutes from Hobart, this will be the perfect base camp for travellers looking to sample great local food and wine, and just disconnect from any worries.

Prosser's Ridge is in a beautiful location on a growing vineyard property. The views from the campsite are really stunning. The owner's have added a portable toilet which has a sink, and is decorated to feel like an old style farm building. We camped in a rented camper van in the spring, which was quite windy, so high in the hills. So be prepared for possible windy and cold weather. Overall , I would recommend this spot for a private and outdoorsy experience.

Spectacular!
Was a spectacular spot to camp out. Beautiful views, and not to far from Richmond, so easy to grab food etc. Paul was easy to deal with and very accommodating. Highly recommend!
