Camp Moondog is a 36-acre forested property hosting 3 campsites in beautiful Greenville, South Carolina. Flanked on either side by the Saluda River (almost half a mile of river frontage!), this property is a must-book for nature lovers visiting the area or Greenvillians just looking for a getaway for some woods and river merriment. This property is located right across the river, or a short 5-minute drive to Dolly Cooper State Park that draws in disc-golf enthusiasts and park explorers alike. Camp moondog is only a 10-minute drive from the world-renowned Downtown Greenville, a destination known for its excellent restaurants, festivals, shopping, and social scene. Being situated so close to the city-center means that food delivery is just a click away, and running out for that last-minute necessity is a breeze. This is a unique opportunity to get “off the grid” without having to make those ‘off the grid’ sacrifices. At Camp Moondog, our philosophy is to offer a carefree, clean, natural environment for a relaxing camping vacation experience. We will be happy to use our ATV's to assist with getting your supplies to any of the campsites--just shoot us a message on the app if you need help! Because there is always ample deadfall all over the property for firewood collection, pre-packaged firewood bundles are not supplied or available for sale. Please take this into consideration if there has been recent rainfall. We look forward to hosting you here at Camp Moondog. Happy Trails! ~Mike and Kelly

Fern Gully
Fern Gully was an amazing spot for a weekend trip. Great for dogs to swim in the water and the views are amazing by the water. I highly recommend.

Best camping experience!
My friends and I had such a good time! I am a student at Clemson, and I wanted to have a fun (and safe) camping trip for my birthday. The campground was on a perfect spot by the creek, and the hike to the campground was not long at all. We also had help transporting our things thanks to the owner! If you are looking for a camping spot with plenty of space and beautiful scenery, this is the place! Our dog had a great time too.

The Bend
We loved camping with our 20' camper trailer on this river-side property. It was remote, quiet and had a nice fishing access spot right next to the campsite. We were able to run a generator, use the hosts hose for water fill up and it wasn't far at all for a gas fill up nearby. Would 10/10 recommend and will come back again soon (and bring our Kayak's next time)

A great hangout spot
Always a great time at camp moondog! Crazy to see how high the water flooded during the hurricane! So glad this awesome spot was still all ready to go 🙏 Can’t wait to be back soon

Great weekend trip
The camp site is very secluded and right on the river. Perfect for a trip to get away from everything and unplug. Word to the wise load in and out does have 1 pretty steep incline and decline but if you’re moderately in shape it’s fine. Also the hosts will help you haul in/out with their ATV if you ask.
