Within a 60-minute drive from the Harry Hampton.
Woodlands Hollow Nature Retreat is nestled just off the dirt road at the end of a cul de sac on almost 2 acres of land. Surrounded by tall pines and hickory trees, enjoy rustic camping here with two sites available. One site is the Flower child site and one is Moondance, perfect for anyone who wishes to camp in a rustic, artsy, hippie space. We are approximately 20 minutes from the Congaree National Park, the Palmetto Trailhead, Peachtree Rock, and Columbia, SC. Charleston and Charlotte are just over an hours drive. We're 15 minutes from NOMA district, 5 Point and the Vista which all offer incredible eateries, coffee shops and breweries. Ask me and I'm happy to guide you to amazing destinations. Camping is available for tents, cars and vans. WE offer dry camping for trail travels under 25' (NO HOOKUPS), however if you need too dump, Camping World is just down i26 and offers dumping for Good Sam members. The Barnyard on US1 offers dumping for a nominal fee. No dumping is allowed on the property of WHNR. We also offer a Vintage Glamping experience in our 1973 Bonanza Pinto with a queen size bed through Airbnb. airbnb.com/h/woodlandshollow

Flower Child Tent Site
The host was available and polite and welcoming through correspondence. Super funky and weird and we really liked the vibe and approach. That said, it is basically one big open area with no real separation between designated sights. Think communal. You are essentially in someone's backyard, rural though it may be. Just take note, you are not secluded or in nature per se..... If you wanna book a group event, I can see how it would be super fun. However, if you want ✌ and quiet surrounded by nature......avoid this inspired hippies backyard. Four wheelers, pitbulls and Kid Rock kept us up most the night. I can see how a little TLC could make this place pop for sure and help reassure the visitor that the ghost of Lynard Skynnard wasn't gonna haunt them all night.

Great host!
Peaceful quiet location. The drive to the site was off-road but even in our non-4-wheel sprinter conversion van, we did fine as long as we took our time. Host gave us our privacy, but also very responsive. She provided excellent recommendations for shopping and activities nearby. Would definitely stay again!

Great stay close to Congaree!
We loved tent camping at Dawn’s place! Only about 30 minutes from the entrance to Congaree National Park. We brought our own folding camp table and chairs because the the others are shared between the two sites. Would definitely stay again!

Camping near Congaree National Park
There are currently 2 campsites here, they are right next to each other. I was the only one there for my stay. Dawn was a gracious host, and answered all questions. I would suggest a picnic table for each campsite, would make a wonderful addition!
