Welcome to our lush 9 acre Hobby Farm Stay property overlooking the Brisbane River with horses, ducks, geese and chickens. Experience the joys of farm life, feeding the animals, collecting eggs and relaxing under the mango trees. You can choose a private campsite tucked away out of sight of the main house, shaded by mango and orange trees. If you choose to camp in the open away from the trees, the house will be in sight, but we live a quiet life and will respect your privacy. The site is perfect for couples and family/friend groups. We can accommodate, tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. Being so close to the CBD the site is a great option for 'shake down' short stays for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield. You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves. There is a large flat grassy area for kids to play and ride bikes. Please keep in mind that this is a 'Farm Stay', you will be camping on a working property which is also our big back yard. Your privacy is assured, however, if you are looking for total seclusion, this may not be the Hipcamp property for you. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. Firewood is available as an 'extra' for $20, if you would like a bundle please amend your booking to include firewood. Power (10amp 0nly) and water is available close to your campsite, but you must bring your own camping toilet. Daily water usage is included in your booking fee. Long range water tank fill ups incur a one off extra fee of $10, please include this in your booking under extras. We are friendly hosts who will respect your privacy and welcome your children to participate in farmyard feeding times and egg collecting (less eggs in winter). Our geese and ducks and chickens are hand reared so they are not aggressive at all 😃 We have two Sausage dogs, Ockie and Arlo. Ockie especially likes to visit campers, Arlo is a little less social but she may visit if she musters up the courage. This is their home so if you aren't doggy people perhaps this isn't the campsite for you. Please keep your food and rubbish up high so the doggos and other critters don't help themselves. Horse riding lessons are available by prior arrangement. Please give 7 days notice prior to your stay should you wish to book a riding lesson. No dogs please, Ockie and Arlo are the masters of their domain and don't like doggy interlopers. This campsite offers a serene escape with welcoming hosts Melissa and Robert, who go the extra mile to make guests feel at home. The setting is peaceful, featuring animals like horses, ducks, and geese that add to the charm, making it a delightful experience for families and animal lovers. Although most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few guests noted that the campsite is essentially the hosts' backyard, which might not meet everyone's expectations of space and privacy. However, the majority appreciate its proximity to city conveniences while feeling like a retreat into nature.

We had a lovely time. Booked last minute and we're blown away by how nice the place was when we woke up the next morning to sunrise over the horses paddock. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through the area. Thank you for a perfect stay!

Fabulous place to escape to. Melissa and Robert are very welcoming hosts and took the time to introduce our kids to their horses and got them involved in feeding. The campsite is the back yard of the property but, as you have the whole site to yourself, there is plenty of space. The experience was just as the hosts described in the Hipcamp summary.

Melissa and Robert, are fantastic hosts!! Extremely friendly and respectful! We had a great time here. So quiet it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere, however short drive from everything!! The kids absolutely loved feeding the horses and hanging out with there two dogs who were there to greet us most mornings. As full time travelling family this place ticked all box’s. Thanks guys

Melissa was able to accommodate a last minute booking due to a delayed flight meaning we wouldn’t have made it to our original campsite. Campsite had power and water available and was quiet and peaceful.

Great Hipcamp. You have exclusive use of the site and the hosts Melissa and Robert are very nice. You can join in the duck and horse feeding if you wish or just chill and listen to the birds. Also they have 2 very obedient dachshunds that come around to say hi everyday.
