We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. There is sometimes wood located at each campsite but the amount and quality is varied. We recommend 4WDs to access the rear creek and camping areas. There are 3 x 2WD camping options suitable for larger caravans and motor homes. These sites can accomodate a large group. We have a good variety of options for 4WD. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Access is restricted in wet weather- out of our control. There are 2x 4WD sites suitable for smaller setups and 3x 4WD sites suitable for larger groups. Please book separately and let us know your group name. There is a rough hill climb 4WD low gear at the beginning and a tight corner at the top. Reminder - You must provide your own toilet facilities and take your waste and rubbish with you when you leave. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. A Scenic Rim Gem Worth Discovering

Over the Creek in Tarome is an absolute gem in the Scenic Rim area! From the moment we arrived, Phil (the owner) made us feel at home with his warm hospitality. He went above and beyond to ensure our group was comfortable, addressing any concerns about the road conditions to the campsite and providing clear guidance for a smooth arrival. The property itself is breathtaking, offering secluded spots by the creek and stunning views of the national park and Cunningham’s Gap. It's the perfect escape for peace and privacy, with little phone reception to truly disconnect. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the ambiance was serene—ideal for nature lovers. Phil’s care and attention to detail made all the difference. Whether it was checking in on our needs or sharing local tips for activities like hiking or exploring the area, his incredible service elevated the experience. I highly recommend Over the Creek for anyone seeking a tranquil camping getaway. Just be sure to bring a 4WD for easier access to the best spots on the property. Camp site is excellent, plenty of room to set up tents and trailers for big groups and the creek is just perfect for hot days. The host Phil went above and beyond expectation and assisted us to get to the camp site and all other additional services he provided Definitely will be going back there soon

Over the Creek Camping

It’s our second time coming here, and we loved it just as much as the first time. We hired the toilet, and it was assembled for us not long after we arrived. There was wood ready to go next to the fire pit. The creek is a lovely spot to take the dogs, have lunch and a little nap. Can’t fault it here, can’t wait to come back again next year!
