Ilbilbie Station is 1001 acres. There are no neighbours to annoy, as we reside at the end of Landells Road. Our property is a small family owned working cattle station. There is native wildlife , birds and kangaroos . Sit and relax , take a dip in the creek or explore the property . There's a service station just up the road for food, ice, fuel etc creeksWe purchased this little piece of paradise three years ago, to slow down a bit and run a few head of cattle (approx. 100 head) Ilbilbie Station Farm Stay is only a few minutes off the Bruce highway and approx. 1-2 klm of dirt road. We're easy to find - 1. turn into Ilbilbie service station (United) 2. go over the railway line behind the servo 3. follow road around to the right ( approx 400m) 4. turn left into Landells road 5. continue down Landells Rd (go past "Little Bity Station") 6. take the road to the left , go slow thru the dip. 7. You have arrived This is bush camping at its best, with creek frontage in places surrounded by trees and mountains with NO amenities available at this time. Many a friend has camped by the creek, and loved every minute of it, so we thought we would like others to share this experience. Dogs are allowed, preferably on a leash/lead as we do have cattle. And yes, having cattle means cow poop and occasional mooing of cows. You will find a few horses roaming around too. All types of campers, caravans, RVs, tents are welcome to set up anywhere you choose on the property where signed (just be mindful of fellow campers and try not to camp on top of them, especially if running a generator). We ask that all campers are fully self-contained (own toilet is essential at the moment - NO toilet facilities NO entry sorry) please take rubbish with you when you leave. (Grey water is allowed to be released onto the ground) leveling of caravans maybe required in places. If there's a sign on the gate saying 'KEEP OUT' then that's exactly what it means. Marion Creek runs thru our place providing beautiful fresh water to swim, paddle a kayak and search for the little turtles. Please understand that we do have dry times, so the creek may not always be running, but there's always water. You're welcome to have a fire in the rock pits provided, so gather your timber (from fallen trees only) and enjoy, we will cut some for you too . If you're needing any supplies Ilbilbie service station on the highway has most things you may need food, ice, fuel, grocery items, hotbox etc. If you'd like to take a look around Greenhills and Carmila beach are close and Cape Palmerston National Park is just up the road. Sarina is a 1/2 hr drive and Mackay approx 1 hr away. The closest dump points to the north, is in Sarina beside Mitre 10 (turn left at first set of lights) to the south at Carmila Beach. We are very new to this concept (of allowing people onto our property) so please feel free to give some feedback and let us know what you think. Our Hipcamp is a work in progress, with things that still need to be done , please bare with us . We ask that you book via Hipcamp and we'll stay in contact with you when required. You will be provided with a keypad code when you book, which will expire on your departure. If the keypad is playing up, please ring me and I can let you in, no worries. (We are not a commercial camp ground) Please be advised - AS ITS OUR DRY TIME OF THE YEAR , the creek has dropped. So use of the swing and flying fox , isn’t recommend atm , but you can still swim and paddle the canoe or kayak .

Lovely spot
Well spread out sites from other campers, lovely creek and shaded spots by the creek. It is a working farm so there are vehicles and horses moving about during the day but nothing too much. Enjoyed our stay :)

The perfect farm stay with a swimmi
Exactly what we could have hoped for, large clearings around a beautiful little tree lined flowing freshwater stream. Driving through the secured electric gates we where greeted by the lovestock with some cute little calves and woke in the morning to horses grazing freely around our camp-site. The sites are on both sides of the creek so you have protection from the sun & the wind depending on direction with large grass clearings so you can evenly space the campsites. The creek was apparently low when we visited but we could still cool off and use the kayaks for a little explore, there is even a flying fox across the creek, kids would absolutely love this place! Hosts where genuine and friendly, we highly recommend visiting this place for a stay.

Aaah the serenity.
This place is a true gem.. Gary and Carmen are terrific hosts. The camp area by the creek looks better kept than my lawn at home. Fire pits are nicely spread out so you’re not on top of each other, with the added bonus of some firewood provided by your hosts. The creek is clean and swimmable. (No crocs) will definitely return and highly recommend to others.
