Inclusion policyWe have a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination at Hipcamp. We are committed to helping our Host and Hipcamper communities be inclusive.
Cockatoo Creek offers a charming and serene camping experience with a beautiful creek setting, frequent wildlife sightings, and well-maintained facilities. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, making it a great spot for families, especially those with children who enjoy interacting with farm animals. While most visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, some note the proximity to roads and neighboring properties, which can detract from the sense of seclusion. Overall, it's a convenient and enjoyable getaway close to the Gold Coast and Brisbane, ideal for both relaxation and exploration.

Beautiful well kept campground and facilities. The kids loved the creek and all the farm & wild beasties. Did need to Engadge 4 wheel drive to get out due to extremely wet conditions. We're keen to come back in sunny days for more exploring, thank you.

We had a great time here. Very well maintained site right next to the creek. Loved seeing the animals. Close enough to Mt Tambourine and Gold Coast that you could easily explore both in a day. Toilet was clean and convenient. We had lots of rain on our second night but thankfully it was a grassed site so didn't cause us any trouble.
Thanks for a wonderful stay!
