Welcome to our not-for-profit grounds, now open to the public. The camp has been set up as a youth-oriented facility that welcomes travellers and regional people. All proceeds go towards running costs and improving facilities. We have an onsite caretaker (LES) for maintaining the property.
Dog friendly (must be controlled at all times!) and good access for caravans and all types of vehicles.
A large flat grassed area for camping and 200m walk to The Boyne River at Pikes Crossing with access for swimming. There is an area to launch small boats and ideal for canoeing and kayaking in protected waters. Close to Lake Awoonga (4km drive) for fishing and all other aquatic activities along with a great barramundi stocked impoundment.
There is a large undercover area with tables and chairs, flushing toilets and hot showers and designated campfire area. All campers have access to this.
We also offer a commercial kitchen and BBQs for group bookings.
We welcome community functions, weddings, birthday parties and youth groups. Inquiries welcome.
This campsite consistently impresses with its well-maintained facilities, welcoming hosts, and peaceful surroundings. Campers appreciate the spacious sites, fully-equipped kitchen, and clean amenities, often highlighting the friendly and helpful caretaker, Les. While most visitors enjoy the serene and quiet atmosphere, one review mentioned the surrounding burned bush as a downside. Overall, it's a favored spot for both short stopovers and longer stays.
Les was very friendly even tho we booked kinda late arvo and turned up at night. He was very helpful showing us around and kind. Was a short stay only overnight passing through tho would happily stay there again and a bit longer next time..
We had a lovely stay! Everything was tidy and organized, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need. The bathrooms were nearby and clean. Would recommend!
