A paradise for nature lovers. The property boasts close to 200 confirmed bird species, 24 amphibians and 19 native snake species. A beautiful creek runs the entire property length with multiple billabongs and walking trails for campers to enjoy. Our management priority is maintaining maximum species biodiversity for native plants and animals. We request campers are entirely self-sufficient and respect that we are a nature refuge, not a party camp. We only take one booking at a time so campers (and us!) have peace and quiet during your stay. Fire wood is cut and ready for (free!) use in the designated fire pits. Enjoy the dawn and dusk bird chorus, platypus watching in the creek, or other nature-based activities. We do not allow hunting or fishing of any kind as we are a nature refuge. No domestic pets. Arrival is strictly between 12noon and 5pm daily. No arrivals after dark due to wildlife on our roads.
Wetherby Road is a dirt road. We recommend coming in via Euluma creek road (turn off highway at Julatten State Primary School), right onto Mclean's bridge road and then left onto Wetherby Road. From there it is ~5kms to the camp. If you drive the entire length of Wetherby Road (from the free council-run camp at Rifle Creek rest area) it is 12kms of dirt road.
