Campsite 1: Farm Field Overlook
Very cool tent. Even with the heavy rain, we were completely covered. The owners were also really nice and accomplished.

This is a such special place! Unfortunately I arrived after dark, but the host gave excellent instructions, and finding my site was very easy - (they have a creative solution, marking each tent with different colored ground lights).
There are 4 tents to chose from, spaced far enough apart for great privacy. Honestly, I'm not sure if any site is the best, they are all quite nice. The tents have screen windows, but zip tight to keep bugs out, the mattress was minimal but comfy, and everything was clean and tidy. Sounds of the creek, tree frogs, and an owl lulled me to sleep.
In the morning I woke up to the valley filled with fog and had a pleasant chat with David before hitting the road again. Would absolutely stay here again!

Campsite 1: Farm Field Overlook
David and Anne were very welcoming and their property and tent setup were beautiful. We arrived with short notice, only 2 hours after we booked, and without hesitation, they made sure everything was ready for us and were available to show us around the property and tell us whatever we needed to know. We loved the communal kitchen, dining, and firepit area and were able to cook a great meal including wild-caught Alaskan salmon that David defrosted ahead of time for us. They source this salmon from a local business that catches salmon sustainably off the Bristol Bay, which is super cool. In addition, we bought some of their produce and freshly laid eggs from their farm to take home with us, so we are still enjoying the farm! We happened to be there on a very hot, sunny day and the the tent was not in a shaded area so we couldn't comfortably be in there in the afternoon, but there were plenty of places to comfortably sit and chill in the shade as well as a creek and swimming holes to explore. We walked a very short distance up the creek to a fairly deep and refreshing swimming hole, maybe 200 yards at max - so fun. The tent cooled down nicely once the sun went down and was pretty, spacious, and comfortable. David and Anne are friendly, great people. We love their backstory about how they came to own the farm as well as their dream of how they plan to further improve and use the space. I highly recommend a stay here!

Lux Bell Tent
We loved camping at David’s farm. The land was beautiful, the tent was nice and we enjoyed the facilities offered. Enjoyed wading in the river a short walk from the site and the kids made friends with the hens and rooster. The camp sites were spread out nicely so we felt like we had our own space.

Connecting with nature and family
David and his family were fantastic hosts! The tent was spacious and clean- the grounds are beautiful. Wildflowers and woods. We loved exploring the stream and disconnecting from the outside world. The nights get chilly in the valley, so bring a sweatshirt and an extra blanket. We’d certainly visit again.
