Our property was once an overgrown field that in the past was strip mined for coal. This area was purchased by a local church congregation and has been transformed into a fun, peaceful picnic/recreation area. We enjoy using this area for picnics, birthday/graduation parties, family reunions and other fun, meaningful events. We have even had a few weddings here. Recently we decided that we want to give more people the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful, serene area. We hope you choose to come and relax and enjoy a "Slice of Solitude" Learn more about this land: Rustic camping area not far from town. Hidden gem
6 m campervan
This site is a gem! We loved having the pavilion and the bathhouse and the walking trail, amenity-wise it’s the best Hipcamp I’ve ever been to. Richard was also an excellent host, making himself available if we needed but also giving us our space. You can see his house from the site but it’s pretty far so it feels very private. We were just two adults and two dogs and had a great time, but this would be an AMAZING spot to camp with kids because of all the games and the playground. There’s plenty of space for two different groups to be there, we were supposed to overlap with someone else for one night wound up being alone. However, I could see some awkwardness if for instance everyone wanted to use the fire pit or the same hookups at once so if you have a large group I’d recommend just renting out both sites.

Beautiful and relaxing
3 m travel trailer · With pets
This place was secluded and relaxing. I was the only camper that was there so I had the place all to myself. I love how secluded I felt and also how beautiful the views were. This place was well kept, very clean and I love the open grass area next to the forest. My pup and I played fetch all day and she had a blast. Richard also was very responsive with messages and even stopped by to make sure I had everything I needed. This place was just what I was looking for a nice relaxing weekend to unwind from city life. I will definitely be back!!!!

Tent · Group trip
This place was perfect! We met up with two friends and tent-camped on the site. Richard was super helpful and super available and I've never had such a huge, open space for camping. There are only two sites on acres of lawn and the pavilion was an awesome spot for meals and hanging. The bathhouse was also prestine.
