Site 1 - 75 Acres with Hiking and Waterfall.
The site is perfect for large families or a group of friends- lots of room to spread out & have multiple tents. The area is beautiful. We ended up having very rainy weather & everything did get slippery, but we made the most of it. Having firewood for $15 a boxful right there on the site was super convenient & the composting potty was really nice to have nearby - better than many of the alternatives. Chris was extremely responsive with messages & was very clear in all of the communications.

River Ridge campsite.
Really beautiful property! It was so quiet and relaxing but also not super far from town. I stayed here with a bunch of friends and we had a blast!

River Ridge campsite.
Amazing, majestic campsite!
This campsite was amazing! It’s extremely private, the view of the Fall leaves over the Allegheny was breath-taking, there are so many beautiful sights and sounds, and it’s such a great place to just relax and truly enjoy the wilds around you. The trail to the waterfall is also fantastic, and there’s a great little rock overhang down there where you can just sit and enjoy the water and the cool air. I would definitely recommend this site and will be back!

6-Person Canvas Tent Already Set Up
What a magnificent place!
We really enjoyed our stay on Chris’s land. It was beyond our expectations.
The site is perfect. It is tucked away in the trees and private and peaceful. It is surrounded by trails to explore. We even found four hawk feathers on the trail above our site!
The tent is clean and sturdy. It rained part of our stay and the tent stayed dry. It was large enough to also house our gear. The site also has a picnic table, fire ring and cooking grates.
There’s a clean compostable outhouse nearby.
There are a few other spots on the property- all spaced out to give each privacy. We never heard other campers while we were there. All the sites are beautiful and each have their own unique qualities.
The land is absolutely gorgeous. And Chris is gracious enough to share it when you stay.
There is the most beautiful waterfall at the bottom of the property that I cannot wait to wade in next summer! The view from the top ridge is breathtaking. We were lucky to stay at the peak of the autumn leaves changing and it was spectacular!
Chris gave detailed information and directions. He was readily available to answer any questions we had. The property was easy to find per Chris’s directions and signage.
We were fortunate to meet Chris and his son before we left. It made our stay even better and we look forward to visiting often. Please take care of Chris’s land so he and other hosts continue to share these invaluable places with all of us! Thanks again, Chris and family! We’ll be back!
