Come enjoy the quiet country setting of my family's private getaway. Originally a 1900 built Mennonite church nestled on 1 acre with trout stocked stream frontage. Only 1 camper and tent site per stay to ensure the peaceful setting. The church is minutes from the activities of the Susquehanna river.Pitch your tent, park your van, pull the RV right up to the stocked trout stream in this picture perfect country setting. Enjoy having the entire property to yourself at this 1900 built Church of the Brethren. Long closed, and now a private family retreat, it is yours to enjoy with loved ones. The property is gently placed in the rolling farmlands of central PA. Please note campsite is off a small single lane Rd. Campsite is not visible from the road however. Property is rustic and wild. It is not a manicured glamping site. You will be camping on a little piece of Americana 😁 Enjoy Saturday baseball games at the Mennonite field across the street. Maybe water sports on the Susquehanna river minutes away? Perhaps a covered bridge tour? How about enjoying one of the many local wineries or breweries? Want to trout fish from your Adirondack chair? Enjoy the picturesque country setting knowing your close to many great attractions. Please enjoy the property but respect the small cemetery on the property. All guests are asked to carefully inspected the property before pulling into the grass. While the entire property is dry ground, it can become muddy with heavy rains. Please be aware that the property has been completely seeded with wild flowers, paths are maintained for walking and at the campsite but the grass is intentionally left longer for this reason. The baseball field across the street is still active, during the day, on most weekends the local mennonites will have games. While the campsite is completely private, you may hear them playing 😊

Country church on stocked stream!
This escape was beautiful, secluded and convenient. There is a restaurant snd bar that is about a 1/8 mile walk away. A beautiful stream and fun country setting. The fire pit cooked fantastic food.. Highly recommend !!!

Wonderful Memorial Day Weekend Spot
We had the best time camping here! The property is gorgeous, and the drive up to it is really spectacular. It felt very private and secluded, but close to great hiking and activities nearby. We loved hiking Hawk Rock in Duncannon, lunch at Skeeter's Pit BBQ in Shamokin, and the Shikellamy State Park overlook in Northumberland. The stream was very pretty, and we saw a bald eagle over the campsite the first day. Highly recommend this spot to any hipcampers!

We loved camping here. Being next to the water is amazing. Be sure to check out Shine coffee about 10 minutes from the site.

Country church on stocked stream!
camping with no destination
it was a remote feeling location, low traffic area, nice to get away from the mass, however i would strongly urge against using the outhouse right next to the creek that falls straight on the top soil. save the water!

Country church on stocked stream!
Overall we enjoy the time there. Unfortunately, I feel the place needs a bit more privacy since is close to the road. I also feel it needs maintenance. The grass was tall, the branches of the trees in the fishing spots were in the way. The restroom state needs to be work on. Is a beautiful creek. The presence of the church and cemetery gives it character. Lot’s of potencial, just need some love.
