Conewago Glamp and Paddle
Uniquely beautiful by the Creek
This "glamp" experience was a nice, last minute surprise alongside a beautiful creek.
Much thought and care, by Craig, has been put into the space to make it a step above the usual glamping.
Every aspect was clean and all provisions available.
He was kind, friendly and helpful in a manner one would expect in a lodge.
We took full advantage of all the amenities - the sauna, the outdoor shower, firepit area, unique and creative lighting (non-bug attracting bulbs) and the brick oven to make pizzas.
The outdoor kitchen is amazing.
The environment was peaceful.
For us, the best part was the freedom to canoe the calm, sleepy creek -
what a beautiful treat! Wildlife and tranquility.
Everything we hoped when it was found.
As a note: don't let the nearby drive to reach his property give you cause for alarm (as it did us). Once you are there - the downstairs space and the grounds are simple, but beautiful.

Conewago Glamp and Paddle
Perfect getaway for DC, NY, etc.
The property is beautiful, right on a tranquil river/creek with wonderful trees and shade, and lots of flat ground for tents, lots of mature trees and felt secluded and private.
The real magic of this site is in the amazing work that Craig has put into the property. The fire pit/gravel patio, outdoor bar, bathroom, bedroom, outdoor kitchen and shower... All are full of beautiful, whimsical hand-built details--from the windowsills, to metal paper towels holders, drawer-pulls, fire pokers, decorations, and more. Craig is a true jack-of-all-trades who built everything on this property over decades, and his loving care really shines through in all the details. It's a wonderful place to spend a few nights grilling and catching up with friends! The stars were plentiful at night, and the air was nice and cool by the river and in the shade.
Each morning the hummingbird and bird feeders were full of visitors--I feel like the care it goes into maintaining just that aspect of the property (not to mention the thriving vegetable garden from which Craig gifted us tomatoes, peppers, and onions!) says so much about the kind of dedication and loving care that has been put everywhere here.
The sauna was amazing, the river was calm and easy to paddle up a good ways and then float back down, the Blackstone and pizza oven well-maintained and a joy to cook with. Craig provided firewood, was around for questions and help-- friendly and wonderful to our diverse group of city folk!

Great Getaway
Great glamping spot on the Conewago creek. Facilities were fantastic and had lots of fun at the creek (kayaking, fishing, and playing in the water). Craig is a great host!
