Enjoy 8 beautiful, secluded acres on the Conewago Creek at Bald Hill, Northern York Co. My homestead was once part of the Conewago Turf Farm. It borders the creek a length of 1100 feet, mostly maintained with easy access. Camp is at the base of a steep section of the Conewago Mountains, creating privacy and protection from wind and afternoon sun. This is not a whole house rental. I have a one bedroom, queen size bed, kitchenette, private restroom and outdoor shower with on demand hot water. There's plenty of room for tent or van camping. Please see pictures for detail. I live in the house above the glamping quarters. Plenty of good fishing and paddling here. I offer shuttle service for 1 or 2 day float trips, paddle in one day, paddle out the next day. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and PFD's are included in the price of your stay. The Conewago is very beginner paddling but remote, very clean and full of wildlife. Gifford Pinchot State Park is 7 miles away. I have two paddle boards if you want to paddle the 3 mile lake. This adventure would require a short hike out to a parking area. Relax in a wood fired Norwegian sauna and cook in a Peruvian wood fired earth oven or cook under the stars over an open fire. Firewood is also included. Foodies will rejoice here. I live and work here, part time blacksmith and wood worker. I'll assist you in any way or do my best to stay out of your way. Wildlife love it here, I think you will too.I live in the house above the glampimg area for rent. Included is a one bedroom with queen size bed, AC and ceiling fan. Open kitchen and dining area. A private toilet, sink and outdoor shower with privacy. There's plenty of room for tents or van camping along the creek. I don't have a place for RVs or electric hook ups. The kitchen is equipped with a four burner gas flattop grill, toaster oven, Nuwave induction cooktop and small refridgerator and freezer. Water kettle, coffee and french press will be provided. Cowboy style is also an option. Place setting for 6 and most styles of glass ware. Ice for your drinks and cocktails. Salt, pepper and cooking oil. Tastey and chemical free drinking water. Your used dishes and glasses will be collected and returned for your next meal, just enjoy. I'll find anything you may need. Just bring food and drink and any personal items you may need. Closed toe water shoes and a beach towel are reccomended. Bath towels are provided for the bedroom guests but campers will have to bring towels and a camp chair.

Conewago Glamp and Paddle
Perfect getaway for DC, NY, etc.
The property is beautiful, right on a tranquil river/creek with wonderful trees and shade, and lots of flat ground for tents, lots of mature trees and felt secluded and private. The real magic of this site is in the amazing work that Craig has put into the property. The fire pit/gravel patio, outdoor bar, bathroom, bedroom, outdoor kitchen and shower... All are full of beautiful, whimsical hand-built details--from the windowsills, to metal paper towels holders, drawer-pulls, fire pokers, decorations, and more. Craig is a true jack-of-all-trades who built everything on this property over decades, and his loving care really shines through in all the details. It's a wonderful place to spend a few nights grilling and catching up with friends! The stars were plentiful at night, and the air was nice and cool by the river and in the shade. Each morning the hummingbird and bird feeders were full of visitors--I feel like the care it goes into maintaining just that aspect of the property (not to mention the thriving vegetable garden from which Craig gifted us tomatoes, peppers, and onions!) says so much about the kind of dedication and loving care that has been put everywhere here. The sauna was amazing, the river was calm and easy to paddle up a good ways and then float back down, the Blackstone and pizza oven well-maintained and a joy to cook with. Craig provided firewood, was around for questions and help-- friendly and wonderful to our diverse group of city folk!

Great Getaway
Great glamping spot on the Conewago creek. Facilities were fantastic and had lots of fun at the creek (kayaking, fishing, and playing in the water). Craig is a great host!

Great place, Phenomenal Host
Craig was a phenomenal host. The space and land surrounding is extremely peaceful and beautiful. My 3 YO son and I had a wonderful time hanging out for a father/son weekend. The living space has everything you need. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped. I brought a dough ball and made some wood fired pizza in the outdoor oven. Craig was very communicative leading up to our trip and answered any questions I had. He had the paddle boat set up for us by the river, and even had a life vest for my son. My son and I did some fishing by the river. We picked some peaches from the peach tree. There was plenty of fire wood for the fire pit and we roasted our peaches and apples there at night. The outdoor shower had plenty of hot water in the morning. The bedroom was nice and cool with the AC unit and ceiling fan. Room was spacious and very comfortable bed. Overall this was a fantastic place and I can’t speak highly enough of Craig our host. You will not be disappointed booking this place for your next trip.
