Our campsite welcomes you and your family or friends for a relaxing and a peaceful holiday, but yet with plenty of activities and things to do. We are open all year and are set in a peaceful and verdant greenery, in the middle of a vineyard on the border of the River Thouet. We offer large camping plots (minimum 100m²), rent of mobile homes, a bar and restaurant. We are set in the middle of the Loire Valley, near to many big town to visit such as Saumur, Angers, Cholet and Poitiers. You can enjoy either a relaxing an quiet stay by the pool with a glass of the local wine on the terrace of the bar by the pool, eating a home made dinner freshly cooked by Nadia, or you can be busy visiting all the surrounding: Chateaux's, Zoo, Puy Du Fou, Futuroscope, wine tasting.Camping Le Thouet is OPEN ALL YEAR and has 2 sanitary blocks with facilities for disabled persons, electric hook-ups for each emplacement, water taps nearby and an Elsan emptying point. The Swimming pool is 18 meters long, 1-3m deep and 8m wide, surrounded by a sun terrace. Other activities are included on the site: Fishing, cycling, wine tasting, barbecue, meal service, bar, restaurant, bread delivery service, bird watching and other wildlife, fishing, Paintball activity, Petanque, and Wine Tasting.

Camping Le Thouet

Wonderful wild camping

Nadia’s place is spacious and peaceful and where me and my husband got one of the best night’s sleep on our whole holiday in France. The facilities are basic but they are clean and provided what we needed. We sadly didn’t visit the bar but had a lovely walk into Montreuil for the afternoon for cake and wine.

Enjoyable site. Very friendly, lots of locals making you feel welcome. Nadia’s food was very very good. If I had more time I would have definitely stayed longer. Would visit again.

Camping Le Thouet

Great option for nature& tranquiliy

If you like your campsites spacious, relaxed and close to nature then this is for you. We had an absolutely lovely time enjoying nature, the lovely clean pool & Nadias hospitality. Lovely poolside cafe. We were able to choose our pitch near the river, far from everyone, enjoying birdsong & the stars. Wash blocks are a little old, but we’re kept clean, stocked with loo roll & lovely hot showers all day ( no button, hand held). Thank you Nadia!

Quiet spot surrounded by nature

Quiet, beautiful nature, a little bit wild, a wonderful swimming pool and a warm welcome -- we loved Nadia's place! We were able to choose a pitch in the corner of a large field, a good distance from anyone else and near the river, where we could hear magical noises from birds and other creatures in the evenings. We cycled into the local village, which is stunning and has various amenities, including bakeries, a butcher and also a Super U for basics. We would definitely come back and stay at Nadia's again.

Camping Le Thouet

Excellent place to stay!

We had a lovely stay, our boat got delayed and we were able to arrive late and found it very easy to navigate around. We got a very friendly welcome in the morning and had a nice swim in the pool with the bonus of a couple of friendly dogs around that said hello and this place had clean facilities. Would definitely stay again on our route.
