We purchased this slice of paradise in 2003 as a place to relax, recharge, and someday build our dream home. It started as nothing more than a gravel road leading to a small clearing with an old bus and a couple decks. Our children have grown up out here learning a deep respect for nature and the real (non digital) world. Now empty nesters, we live on site. Part of our retirement planning is to spend next several years developing the lower portion of the property (approx. 15 acres) into a campground and retreat for our guests, as well as our own family, friends, and grandchildren. The campground area (currently) consists of a handful of primitive campsites, and a group area. We are working steadily on improvements, including adding more sites, improving the roadways, and upgrading the common areas. In all we will likely have 12-15 total designated camping areas (including a group area or two, as well as a couple hike to secluded locations). Peaceful Sleeping

I loved camping at Mike's place. It is gorgeous, set in the woods, with a wide creek that you can play in! The spots are very private, no sitting on top of each other. We are planning on going back for our family 4th of July celebration. The only improvement I would suggest is to improve the bathroom facilities.

Great for humans and dogs!

Our stay here was both relaxing and comfortable! My dog loved having space to run around and explore off leash and I enjoyed the safe environment for her to do so! Our campsite (#5) was spacious and offered exactly what we were looking for. Having staff check in periodically offered peace of mind in case we needed anything! The land is beautiful as we enjoyed walking around the property and enjoying the creek at different times of the day. We plan on coming back as it is a short drive from Portland, comfortable, safe, clean and close to great hiking trails for both humans and dogs alike!
