We are located on what used to be one of the stagecoach stops on the Applegate Trail. There is an ancient tree that was if the oral story of the land is accurate, the Trading tree. It was the place where swap meets between the local native tribes would gather and bring their firs, and other goods to trade with the white traders of the time. It's a peaceful place to be, the property backs up to timber property. It feels more isolated than it is. The nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away.  Learn more about this land: You can pitch a tent in the middle of 80 acres and feel totally isolated. Wr have a camping area on the front half of the property. Was quiet and weren’t around anyone really. Plenty of space to choose your spot

lovely meadow on a hill
beautiful landscape with great views and lots of different areas to choose from. felt very private, most of the area is on a hill so it took a few tries to get my camper at a good angle for sleeping. pit toilet needed maintenance and there was a bit of litter around the property but overall really enjoyed my stay and the price is great.

Great spot. It was easy to drive in, and there were plenty of level spots to put our tent up.

I had looked at hipcamp website earlier in the day and discovered this site. I hadn’t made a reservation because I didn’t think I would make it all the way to Drain. However, I did and confirmed the reservation at 8:30 pm. The land was easy to find. I never met David and Dawn but I did meet a couple of cows near the camping sign pointing left. I drive a Prius and sleep on a mattress in the back. It was getting close to dark so I picked the first somewhat level spot. I thought I was the only person on the property until I saw another vehicle at a distance in the morning. Finding the porta potty was a challenge. It’s in the grove of trees. This is the perfect spot for spending one night on the way to someplace else.
