Located in the quiet old farm district of bend Oregon, we sit on a little half acre lot with sweet character and simple offerings. The camp sight is located under a rv carport right next the our garden and two green houses. There is plenty of room for an RV, car tent, or physical tent. With a long driveway to
It was a disappointment from the start. First, the host said that there would be directions on the gate and there were not. We weren’t really even sure we were in the right place. Then, when we did pull in, it still felt questionable if we were at the location because the space looked nothing like the charming photos. Dog poop on the gravel where we parked. Trash was overflowing out of the garbage. Dirty towels and dirty table. After calling Host acknowledge the mess and told they would come clean up… however we left right away. Photos show a very cute and cozy space, but the place wasn’t at all.. We appreciated the refund for sure. They admitted to still working out the kinks and I hope they do for the sake of other guests.
What could be improved in my opinion is:
1. Provide accurate information that makes sense for check-in
2. Adequately prepare for guests by cleaning and tidying up the space prior to their arrival.
3. Make sure pictures reflect what you are offering.
Thank you
Cosy private spot in the Bend suburbs. Simple 3 mile ride into town on bikes and great place to hang out. Loved the little seating area, the vege garden and lights!
The hosts were very friendly, responsive, and flexible. Their dogs were very friendly too! The space might be fine for a van, but it wasn’t ideal for a tent. Pitching a tent in the gravel carport would have been challenging and right next to the space, there was an air unit running for their house that was a bit noisy. The grassy area in the photos was not next to the carport as I had thought, so the set-up was a bit confusing at first. There were no instructions on the gate as the check-in said. A bit more clarity up front would have been helpful!
Great people. Perfect 1 night stay on your way to Portland
