Heavily forested mountain property way off the grid in the Elkhorn Mts and borders National Forest. Enjoy hiking, biking, climbing, hammocking, watching wild animals, star gazing, etc. Sorry, no sounds of the city. Host will send you driving directions that need to be printed. There is a short hike (4 to 5 minutes) to each camp site from the Common Parking area, so I suggest packing as lightly as possible. Feel free to use the supplied cart to carry your gear. Campers have also enjoyed kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, hiking, and the mountain biking trails at Phillips Lake, which is a little over eight miles from TT. For trails, visit Trailforks.com and search Phillips Lake. Trails range from Easy to Black Diamond. This area used to have train tracks nearby, thus the road name Old Trestle Lane. Legend has it that "there's gold in them there hills". Visit nearby gold mining town, Sumpter (about 45 minute drive), while you're here. There is an authentic gold dredge you can walk through or you can schedule a steam powered train ride. http://www.sumptervalleyrailroad.org/index.html If you don't mind the hour drive, explore the history of Baker City and check out the Oregon Trail Museum just outside of town.

Beautiful wooded and secluded area
This was a gorgeous property with lots of places to hike. Farther from the water than I expected but my time there was short and didn’t feel the need to go. Be warned the pack in pack out is real! I should have listened. Even though I slimmed down my gear it was tough. Should’ve packed like a backpacking trip. The road was not bad. The last mile or two was a little tricky. I feel like with careful driving a passenger car could make it. Overall very peaceful minus the neighbors down the draw logging. Matt answered my questions promptly and was very informative.

We really enjoyed camping here and enjoying the wildlife. It's perfectly tucked away from "civilization." There is uphill and down hill hiking both ways to the campsite, but perfectly manageable with the equipment provided. We'd recommend to anyone looking to get a way.

TT2
It is tucked back into the forest quite a bit which we loved that off the beaten path feeling. The TT2 site was clean and in its own little valley which made it feel secluded from the others. Recommend to bring the bare minimum for the hike back. If you were to bring a lot of stuff the trail would be very challenging.

Very private and quiet with beautiful views. The campsite was large with plenty of space and a nice fire pit. Matt was responsive and helpful with our questions before and during the trip. We received detailed instructions on how to get there and it was even a pretty drive.
