This property was the Old Rose Lodge School which consisted of two classrooms originally. On the property sets the old school house and gymnasium. The property now consists of approximately 5 acres with the back side of the property being nicely lined with trees to tuck tents into. The property is located approximately a 100 yards from the salmon river and setting directly across the street is a large protected creek. We set outside of Lincoln City about 6 miles and are located outside of what we refer to as the fog bank so it will be warmer or colder depending on the time of the year than what it is in Lincoln City. We have a community fire pit, that all campers utilize and have open fires when we aren’t restricted by the County to allow open fire burns. Typically we will let you know when there is no fires allowed whatsoever, but all visitors have a good time getting to know other visitors.

DO NOT STAY HERE
Don’t be deceived by the photos! Basically, this place is a bunch of camping trailers, some occupied by longer term guests and a field full of Uhaul trucks and trailers. There was no one there to great us or no instructions telling us what to do if the host wasn’t present. No one was there until a few hours later when the property owner showed up. This very nice man has nothing to do with Hipcamp. The Hipcamp manager, Kevin, never showed up or responded to my phone call and two text messages until later . When he did respond, he was extremely defensive and even called me a name! Do not stay here !!!!!

Felt right at home
Larry, the kind person who greeted us, is a legend. We had a quick stop on our way south and he made us feel right at home. Great little community they have built there, and they were so generous.

Kevin’s spot was fantastic for a last minute camping night. He was super responsive, the directions were clear and easy to follow, and once I arrived everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Was great to have access to indoor plumbing (shower/toilet) as well. 5 stars.
