We have had a beautiful fall along the river and the central Oregon coast! We will be closing down the property the end of October to give the land a rest and the weather is not condusive to camping. Our area also has a potential to flood in the winter and we don't want to put any of our guests at risk. We do book up quickly in the spring and summer so we are taking reservations for 2025. The mornings are cool, calm and foggy but the fog burns off quickly. We are off the beach about 5 miles so we get warmer and don't have the winds that are on the coast. The winds do pick up in the afternoons but, die down for calm evenings. Our campsites are easily accessible by vehicle from the highway and we have room for tents, small trailers and camper vans too. The sites are grassy and relatively level, situated under large spruce trees. We are still in tidewater here so both sites sit above the river (about a 15' river bank at high tide). We have two campsites on our property but, to give our guests a more private experience we allow one group at a time. Our one designated site, closest to the river bank we call the Riverside Site. It can be reserved for up to 4 people. It can only accommodate smaller tents, campers, pop up trailers, small pod-type trailers and larger rigs up to 15'. The Riverside Site has a rustic firepit and deck for viewing the river. For groups of 5 or more or people or camping with large 10 person tents or trailers over 20', there will be an additional fee and you will need to set up camp in our Riverwood Site, about 150' from the riverbank. You will still have full access to the deck and firepit in the other site but, larger rigs cannot maneuver in the site without tearing up the grass and leaving ruts on our property. **Please note**When you make the reservation you will add an "Extra", ADDITIONAL CAMPSITE. When you make your reservation we require you to specify how many people are in your group. Children up to 15 yo are included in the 4 but, kids 16 yo and older will be additional campers in your group. We also need to know how you will be camping (tent, trailer, campervan, etc.). You are also required to let us know if you have a dog (or 2 or 3...). We have 2 dogs who love to meet and greet our guests and their pets so we need to know what to expect when you arrive. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests in a separate apartment we have downstairs of our house. There is a small living and dining area, kitchenette with barista bar, microwave and small fridge. It is about 150' walk and is visible from the campsites but, still feels private. All areas in the apartment are cleaned and sterilized after each guest. We have a couple of wastebaskets that are for paper towels but, we also require all guest to pack out any garbage. At the expense of sounding like a jerk, we have learned a lot being camp hosts and have found there are some things that are just unacceptable. We do not have garbage service at the property and to be respectful to the next guests, keep the property as you found it. We are a "leave no trace" property so please take any garbage with you, please don't leave any greasy areas from cooking breakfast, etc. pick up all animal waste and please don't leave any chopped/splintered wood on site. We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. All of our guests have full access to our personal dock to get down to the water. Feel free to fish off the dock, swim, Kayak, SUP or just enjoy the evening on the dock. We have a family of 6 Otters that you can see in the early morning, munching on crawdads. Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife; migrating and resident birds like Mergansers, Mallards, Canadian Geese. There are many species of song birds. You may hear a Bear of two making their way down to cross the river. There are deer across the river from our property and there is a huge herd of Elk at about the 3.5-4 mile marker. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City. There is hiking close by and miles of coastline to explore. We are happy to help you have the best experience at the coast...Just ask! A little about the process once you make a reservation: Once you reserve a camp site you'll receive a welcome message acknowledging we received your reservation. Then, a few days before your stay, we will send the physical address, directions to the property and on-site instructions for check in. Once you arrive at the property, there is a HIPCAMP sign with an arrow to direct you to the camp sites. You will follow the instructions we give you depending on the size of your group or the size of your rig. There are also "END HIPCAMP" signs on our property lines to preserve our neighbors privacy. Check-in is 2pm or later, check out is 12noon or before. To be respectful of other campers that are excited to get outdoors (and to allow us to clean the bathroom and make sure the property is ready for the next campers) we need to adhere to these times. FIRE RESTRICTIONS - There are no fire restrictions currently but, we want you to extinguish fires when you leave the property. We have bottles of water at each site to do so. Also, we provide fire extinguishers if there is an emergency grass fire. We don't always have firewood available onsite so you might want to bring a bundle anyway. A little about the property and us: We found this property, that includes the bare land we use for our Hipcampers and our house, just by chance about 10 years ago. We had only dreamed of having a place on a river but, when we found this place, it was over run with tall grass and blackberries. It was a lot of hard work to get it to what it is today but, so worth it. We both love the outdoors and have always loved camping with our kids. Rick is an avid fisherman/hunter while Debbie enjoys kayaking, gardening, reading and watching the river go by. Thanks for checking us out! Debbie and Rick and our two Cattledogs, Luna and PiperFall is finally here…the time where we give our property a rest. We are closed for the rest of the season but, we’ll be taking reservations for spring of 2025! Riverside Camping
This is my go-to spot near the coas
I went here with my family last year and it was a blast. I was worried with the change in only being able to rent one campsite, there would be an issue with my reservation. Debbie was helpful and communicative with the logistics of adding the glass house to my reservation. They've added scented mildew removers and a nice full-sized bed (was an inflatable before) since we were last here which was fantastic and comfortable. Some reviews complained about the mildew smell, but it's a glass studio located in tidewater, whose location in the yard was changed via a flood like a decade ago, it's a wet place to camp, it's unsurprising a campy building would also be damp, but with these added tools, the heater and dehumidifier, the glass house was inviting, cozy, and completely enjoyable to sleep in. Our lanterns (solar) couldn't recharge (cloudy coastal) so in the evening we utilized the kitchen table for our scrabble game. The features Debbie provides at the riverside site for guests are the best I've experienced so far. The quiet autumnal evenings and the eerily beautiful misty mornings has me searching for my own siletz property to buy some day! The only thing I could wish for to improve my stay would be a hot tub to accompany the fantastic location! Lol.

Riverside Camping
Pretty space along a river between two homes and tall trees. Had the place entirely to myself, and it was peaceful and so quiet. Access to the river via a dock close to the camp was nice. Hot water kettle in guest kitchen and a bathroom with a shower were nice to have. Good to be upstream from the coast a bit for some change of climate.

We had a wonderful stay with Debbie this weekend! The property is right off the road and it was easy for us to find. The best part was their friendliness and we had everything we needed during our stay! Thanks for making your property available! It was a delight to meet you.

Riverside Camping
This was a great place to camp for a night, but *make sure you confirm that you will have the Riverside Camping site.* We reserved the Riverside site, and then 1 day before our stay were told that we would be placed in the second “Riverwood” site, because another group had been promised the riverside site. So while the other campers were very quiet and considerate, we didn’t have the experience we expected. Otherwise, the indoor space was very thoughtfully set up - with a small fridge, microwave, tea kettle, and tea/coffee selection in the kitchenette. There was also a wall heater for cold weather. As others have mentioned, the road is close to the campsite, but after around 9pm we only heard the occasional car going by. We felt there were enough trees to offer some privacy from the house / neighbors. Debbie wasn’t at the property while we were there, but made sure we had detailed directions. We didn’t receive the wifi information, and the shower wasn’t available during our stay.

I can only recommend this Hipcamp. Debbie was so incredibly friendly and accommodating. It's beautiful and very quiet there. The two dogs are also very sweet.
